We had ‘real’ ones of these from family back in the day and I had embarked on a build your own one but couldn’t find figures. I had every intention of pulling this apart for the figures and spares but when we saw it we just couldn’t do it as it would have felt wasteful due to its quality on arrival.Let’s get it out the way: it’s not German made, it comes from China but it’s very authentic looking and I suspect even some of them from Germany are now made elsewhere. The build is excellent, not a gap, glue or chip in place. The colours are lovely and I’m glad we got wood rather than white as it had a lovely warm glow a about it.It also takes the usual size candles and only generally needs two or three to pleasantly turn.We absolutely loved putting this on through the season, very happy with it.

So was looking for German Smoking Men to reminisce my youth and came across this... to me it is everything wonderful about the German celebration of Christmas. It is utterly delightful, spellbinding and gorgeous. It is expensive for a 'Christmas decoration' but to me, worth every penny.Only non positive thing to note is the candles that fit do burn down quite quickly, so you will get through them in a couple of hours. I used 3 at a time for a nice slow spin, which works just fine. Also small tip learnt quickly, try not to let candle burn all way down as difficult to remove remains from candle holder. But these are not issues, just things to note. Save your money and buy one if you can

This is a great quality product which is just as authentic that you would buy at the German Christmas market. It is a fantastic focal point Christmas decoration. It is excellent value for money.

NOTE there is a small wooden bung that needs to go into the base otherwise the spinning disk does not rotate, so don't forget to do that before saying it does not work. Also the incline of the fan blades and the number of lit candles determines the speed and direction of rotation clockwise or anticlockwise so you need to experiment on what is right for you. Lovely - makes me into a kid again.

Well made, lots of detail. Have prev purchased 1 in Salzburg which was a little better in terms of quality but for price this is a good item.

I am really pleased with the pyramid. However, the candles recommended don't quite fit.

Needs remedial work to get it to work.

A bit fiddly to assemble, but I kept the box and it stores nicely.I reckon it would would perfectly well with small candle lights. We bought special ones….unnecessarily.

Es bonito, buen acabado y gira muy bien.

Prodotto veramente bello, in mezzo alla tavola natalizia fa un figurone! Inoltre la base non è eccessivamente larga per cui non porta via tanto posto . Si raccomanda l'utilizzo con candele lunghe poichè, data l'altezza ha bisogno che la fonte di calore sia il più vicino possibile. Il prezzo rispetto a marchi più prestigiosi è sicuramente più appetibile e quindi lo consiglio.
