I bought this originally because I wanted something lightweight that could old my hijab. It's a velvet material and it doesn't slip off my head at all. My hijab is not budging y'all this thing is amazing. I don't know how it would work for a wig but any hijabis out there just know you're secure. It's stretchy so it'll fit any head shape, and it's great quality. It's cute and very sleek, there's no bump under my hijab. And it seems like it's a very easy pop in the washer kind of headband. You can even wash it by hand which I'll probably be doing.

This Halloween was my first time ever wearing a wig, so there was a lot I did not know as far as keeping it in place. At a trunk or treat event a couple weeks before Halloween, my wig was constantly slipping backwards. After a little research, I ordered this band and some Bobby pins and was able to give the wig another try on Halloween night. I probably could have gone on a roller coaster and that thing would not budge. I’m really pleased with how well it held things in place.

I have tried the silicon style anti-slip bands to keep my wig from shifting around. What a painful experience THAT was! My head was sore for a full 5 days afterward, preventing me from wearing my new wig. So, I ordered this headband since it looked as if it would be more comfortable. And it is! I just returned from my granddaughter's volleyball tournament where I wore the band with my wig and experienced no discomfort or shifting. I don't feel as if my head is in a vice, which is great. So, I recommend trying this one. However, if you are seeking an instant facelift, try the silicon bands - 'cause it lifts and squeezes like crazy!!!

I so wanted to love this item. Unfortunately, it does not stay in place in the back.The front? Perfection!! It stays put in the front like it should. The back slips up the back of my head over and over and I am constantly readjusting it. I tried loosening and tightening the strap, but nothing solved the problem.

Great for keeping wig in place, thin soft fabric

I have previously tried 2 different wig grips from another company before trying this one, and I must say that I really love this Madison wig grip over the other 2. I love how it is tapered to fit more comfortably over the ears, does not have a lot of bulk in back where it fastens, and does not velcro as a fastener. The other 2 different grips from another company that I have tried secure my wig in place just as well as the Madison, but they are barely tapered if at all, which feels bulky and awkward in the back when moving/tilting my head up, and I can't keep them situated to where they won't keep bunching/folding in that crease between my ears and head, and they use velcro as a fastener in the back, which annoyingly grab onto my bio hair something awful. Happily, the Madison grip is not bulky in the back, does not bunch in that crease at my ears, and doesn't fasten with velcro. And it happened to have came to me perfectly adjusted, too. I did not need to adjust the strap in back at all. It secures my wig and is very comfortable. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is one of the better styles in my opinion and I have tried many. It's better because its narrow in the back. There is no Velcro adjustment which is both good and bad. Most hair grips are the same width all the way around and you end up with a big thick Velcro area at the base of the neck.This one is narrower and has a little section in the back that is elastic and adjustable. But for me it has to be all the way closed. After a while it stretches out and the only way to make it smaller is to sew it with a few stitches making it tighter. I am wearing it correctly but it still slides on my hair. So I end up putting hairpins in it in both directions to keep it from moving. Not comfortable. Wish is was "stickier" on the inside. Maybe put a silicone strip on the inside? Thanks.

UPDATED REVIEW:Now that it has stretched out a bit, and there’s no way to adjust it any tighter (unless you cut and resew the elastic), I’ve had to start using an adhesive or bobby pins to help prevent it from sliding up the back of my head, which it does constantly throughout the day. I bought a glue gun to try to create a silicone-like grip strip on the inside of the elastic so it’ll stay down back there, but sadly that didn’t work.ORIGINAL REVIEW:As a wig wearer, things I love about this headband:-no bulk in the back, no Velcro fasteners-easy to adjust-stays firmly put on my head with (very) sparse, thinning hair-little red ribbon shows exactly which way to put it on, no fussing to figure out if you’re holding it inside out or backwards(There’s a reviewer who said it slides right off, I’m pretty sure they had it on incorrectly.)I’m buying a 2nd one as a spare. (Just wish the brown version wasn’t more expensive.)

I love this headband. It holds great. It is thin not bulky and it's the perfect length with no Velcro to get your hair stuck into.

I bought 3 different types after reading reviews but here are my very honest personal reviews :the silicone - very tight and not so comfortable-you can feel the pressure on the headthe Madison adjustable - this is loose and really not the bestthe MainbasicsOnly the Mainbasics - soft/comfortable/no headache/ you can adjust tightness/doesnt move- this is the best one yet!
