High Quality Product, Great Customer Service
We're on the East Coast, clear across the country from Scratch and Peck. After extensive research for the feed and treats we wanted for the long term for our flock, and after trying a local mills and a couple other organic brands, we found that Scratch and Peck just simply puts out a far superior product than others more convenient to us. We use Scratch and Peck grubs and organic layer feed. I'm looking to get some organic corn this winter, as well. And the couple of times I had some questions for them, their customer service was thorough and friendly.Per this specific review - our girls absolutely LOVE these Cluckin' Good Grubs. They bolt from one side of the property to the other when they hear us shake the bag. If we run out, they give us the stink eye and search around the feed bins where they know we keep their loot. I especially like that these grubs are not sourced from overseas, so we don't have to worry about our flock being poisoned from a low quality, tainted source.I may sound like a commercial, but I speak from the heart. We want the best life for our egg-laying beloved pets, as what they eat will transfer to what we eat, and their food quality effects their eggs. Scratch and Peck makes whole quality products from clean, quality sources. There's just no comparison to other processed brands. Our girls are healthier and happy, and we can rest assured that their food and treats from Scratch and Peck are safe, nutritious, balanced properly, and without fillers and pesticides.

Quality first
I normally buy scratch and pecks grubs but had to buy an another brand from our local feed store which doesn’t carry my brand of S&P. My gals are going through molting and living up in the interior of Alaska it’s very important that they are getting a good quality of protein to help get their feathers back as quickly as possible. As I mentioned before about having to buy an off brand to get them by. It took them awhile to start eating them since could taste the difference. When my order arrived I took out the good stuff and put aside the other brand. I even noticed that the smell was better. Now I totally understand that grubs aren’t anything you’d would say, man those smell delicious! But when I opened the bag, that was the first thing I noticed was it didn’t smell gross and a fresher smell. I wasn’t the only ones that noticed the difference. My hens went straight for them and gobbled them down. I thought I bought enough this time but with them eating so much more, I’ve decided to order more and sooner. And one other thing, I’ve searched for grubs of this quality and all the things they do and don’t do with the process of their grub’s. I seen one that came close but nothing like my S&P products. Do your research and you’ll see the difference.

Our ducks love your product
The ducks seem to love it but as far as flavor, I cannot tell you. We are pleased that it is not made in China...thank God. Seems like a quality product.

Chickens love them!
I was buying a different brand before that came from China, the quality was not as good. Wanted to find a brand made in USA. These look better and smell better to me lol. Taste, well the chickens love these! Sometimes they wouldn’t eat the other brand at all. Our chickens are true free range but in the winter I supplement for them with feed and grubs. They seem to really like these and I love that they come from a farm that is in the USA

Okay, but...
I must have the pickiest chicken in the world. I don’t think it’s the product - Dumplin the chicken is just spoiled. She’ll eat them but her highness is not overly happy. She’d rather have her meal worms. Oh well.

You eat what your chickens eat!
Have bought this many times. Great quality, very consistent. My chickens love these grubs from our compost heap in the summer so I was excited to find packaged ones for the winter. Better for them than mealworms and not imported. I don’t like the idea of my chickens eating bugs raised in another country, fed who knows what and then shipped so far. It also seems so unsustainable. Shipping insects from China to feed to chickens. Nope.

I am a hedgehog breeder and these are GREAT QUALITY .
I have purchased grubs from other companies and I found a lot of them to be burnt and black. These grubs are super great quality, and have been dried to perfection ! They are also much bigger in size then the others. Totally worth the extra money!
