I enjoyed reading this a lot. It was surprisingly hard to put down! The book is a history lesson with talismans & amulets as the center, but its much more than that. It's also a history of the culture surrounding these objects throughout time with a focus on Europe but does touch on how europe was influenced by other areas of the world which i appreciated. The amount of research that must have gone into this is astonishing.

As an artist, the "graphics" are something to be desired, otherwise Alot of good technical information. He definitely knows his work, including some newer information. All it takes is one "miswritten symbol", beware of the consequences. Tread cautiously, not for the inexperienced. Definitely was worth waiting for, it should do well off the shelves. Thanks
