Top Performance True White - Whitening Shampoo 17oz

We have a white shih tzu and wanted a shampoo to whiten his paws and stained areas where he licks himself. The shampoo did whiten better than others we have tried. HOWEVER, it caused terrible, immediate skin problems that left him scratching and biting himself to the point of creating sores. Furthermore, it left his coat with the texture of hair that has gotten a permanent where the permanent stuff has been left in too long. I think it softened the hair and each hair kept the shape it had as it dried. It turned our shih tzu into a poodle! A subsequent bath and brushing did not return his hair to its former appearance. Looks like we'll have to wait for his hair to grow and a trim. I suggest not using this on dogs with sensitive skin and/or dogs with very fine hair.

This is a great shampoo for my white shih-poo. I like that it is gentle (doesn't strip his coat) but really gets all of the dirt out. It is also great to use around his eyes (doesn't sting) to get out some of the stains and eye boogers. It is gentle enough to use on his paws/eyes everyday, and then I do a full bath once a week. It smells like coconut! The seller taped the top shut and put in a plastic bag just in case it leaked (which it didn't). I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

This is by far my favorite whitening shampoo! I show two rough and tumble white dogs, so very rarely are they truly "white", but for show weekends, since I can't take off-white dogs into the ring, this is a lifesaver, and I've used many different brands. It leaves a nice smell, very light, make sure to use a good conditioner after use, as it can be drying to the coat if overused.

Doesn't make dogs white and causes skin to turn bright red on white dogs!!! This product is horrible!!! White dogs are extra sensitive on their skin all this does is make sure that the dog has a reaction!!!

This did not visibly lighten my light brown/cream Shih Tzu's coat. We used a whitening shampoo years ago that definitely lightened his coat and this one does not have that affect.

This is a decent dog shampoo. It does the job. I’ve had other shampoo bring out the white in my dog better but this is a decent substitute

Good product but for whiting a light colored dog it would get a 5 out of a ten for me.

We have purchased this product 4 times. The first 2 times the quality was great. The last 2 purchases the product has a really bad odor and it lingers on the pet. It smells alot like rotten broccoli.

I would not recommend this shampoo for Westies maybe it would maybe be okay for other breed but certainly not for Westies. The smell is nice.
