Used this on VW Tiguan 4x4 2011. Works like a charm.

USB doesn’t work but the aux does on my A5 Audi concert device. No power or connection from the USB.

OBJECTIVEI purchased this cable because despite having Audi bluetooth kit, when an iphone is paired to the cars Audi bluetooth, ONLY the audio from a phone call (iphone) gets played through the car. Streamed music on the same phone cannot be heard!RESULTOn a 2013 Audi R8 v10 facelift, this cable works for the Audio signal (indeed any audio signal applied to the 3.5mm plug comes through the B&O stereo of the MMI system. However the USB socket of this lead does not provide any power. So its a simple solution that sort of works for streaming audio from an iphone. If there is an incoming call on the iphone, then the Audi bluetooth (telephone) will interrupt the music of this “external device” and will play audio of phone call, until call is dropped and then it reverts back to the streaming. To get the streaming music audio out of my iphone I used an “Apple Lightning socket to 3.5mm headphone” adaptor (£4).

Whilst aux works the rest of the ports don't. Bit seller was super helpful when this was raised.

Its a great interface enabling use of audio equipment through the car speaker system.

I bought this to connect an Amazon Echo Auto to my VW Passat. My phone can only make calls through the car speakers, not play music, so I needed to connect to the Aux socket located in the glove box. This cable did the job nicely: I used the jack connection to plug into the Echo Auto.
