These bags are great for the purpose I use them, which is dry snacks. We felt so wasteful using plastic zip lock bags, and were over using toddler snack cups with the amount of space they take up, these looked like a great alternative. I bought these and Stashers to compare, as I was looking for something to store kid snacks in that they could just grab and go without help.Stashers definitely have a better seal, but still are not leak proof. These Zip Tops are also not leak proof, but I felt they let the same amount of air out that the Stashers did. It does state clearly on the package, and in the description before ordering, to stand upright when using with liquids. Therefore, I can not find them at fault with leaks with liquids. But I wouldn’t store liquids in zip lock bags either.That being said, I love the Zip Tops better. The stand on their own is great, especially for using them as storing snacks that the kids can just grab and eat directly out of the bag. They are definitely easier to clean inside the dishwasher and dry nicely. I feel like the Stashers have tough to wash/dry spots, and takes longer to dry. The Stashers are also harder to open, my kids can’t open them and it’s a struggle for me. Plus they feel more delicate then the Zip Locks.I will be buying more Zip Locks. They will be great for backpacking and cooking meals in too!

I already love the idea of meal prep and often cook large batches of grains or soup and freeze them in jars. However, I realized that I could get more in my small freezer when I could lay things flat. I turned to plastic bags but didn't really want to overuse plastic if I could avoid it (to help out the earth). Next, I turned to re-usable silicone bags. I became frustrated because I could not find a single one manufactured in the US and I'm tired of knock-offs and products that may or may not be safe because there simply aren't enough resources to oversee everything manufactured and imported.Enter these Zip Top bags. They are food safe and made in the US. I realize they are more expensive and not everyone has the budget to support this idealism, so I'm pitching in and doing it for us. The colors are lovely and the zipper top is firm and easy to close. I can't speak to leaks because I specifically got them for storing and freezing grains. I got four of them. Each bag holds 2 x 1 cup blocks of frozen grains (seen here).I cook rice/quinoa or whatever grain and then I freeze the batch in 1 cup portions. Not made in the US but they are from a small business with reputable claims that they are made safely and the workers paid fairly. I just take out a 1 cup block portion and plop in the microwave for a minute or so, add the flavors I want, and a big part of my healthy plate is ready! It's an upfront cost investment but saves so much in materials and cost over time and gets healthy meals on the table quickly for any of those busy days!

Even when not packed too full the closures are loose and do not always hold a seal. That said they are a better deal than Stashers and made of a thicker material. My last two Stashers both ripped from regular usage so I switched to these.

After buying way too many Ziplocs over the the whole Coronantine period of the last year and and half, it became apparent we use a lot of them! This was an issue - first, that was money tossed out the door for a single-use, and second, it is a single use item that's next stop is in a landfill. So the research started, and to bump up the difficulty, I opted to see if any of these were made in the US of A. And that is how we ended up at Zip Top.These bags are awesome. Durable, dishwasher Safe (ALL THE RACKS!), clean up perfectly (even storing stuff like onions), great leak (no leak issues!), and high-heat tolerant (sous vide compatible). The big downside is the upfront cost of these suckers. With a family that cooks and stores a lot of food, we will probably not see a positive ROI within a year. In our case, that was not a problem but could definitely be a deterrent.Another downside (to the company Zip Top) is the size of the containers. The largest they have is the "Large Dish" at 32 ounces. Here's to hoping they see the demand for larger sizes to use for marinating and bulk storage. Other companies have 64 ounce containers, which also work great (not made in USA), but nobody has made the jump to gallon containers.

Great food storage! Trying to cut down on Saran product use.

Not what I expected. Ordered these to corral my many containers in my container cabinet. But, these do not fold as flat as I thought they would, are difficult to dry with all the ridges around top and hard to tell if they are sealed good. Also do not hold as much as you think at first glance - you need to watch for the fill line. You need to leave space to squeeze and close. I do believe these are durable and will last a longtime. I moved them to the seldom used top shelf and ordered some Glad Matchware for daily use which stack great and are easy to use and seal.

Great value, work brilliantly. I’ve been using these now for a few months. They freeze well, clean well in the dishwasher, can hold a decent amount and are generally great.The only thing I’d be a bit wary of is they don’t fit larger slices of bread well in terms of width. But for snacks and smaller sandwiches or sandwiches that have been cut up they’re great and better than some more expensive ones I’ve bought.

Love this, can heat food in it or take pack lunch in it. I marked it down a star because it does leak so need to be careful transporting liquids but I mainly use for leftovers in the fridge and to heat and eat from the next day or for sandwiches out and about. Love the texture and no messing about with a lid and that is a good shape to eat from although the sides are a little too high but it does mean can store a lot

Saw this product advertised loads and was apprehensive at first but after using them for a month or so, I’m so impressed!! Not only are they good for the environment because they’re reusable but they don’t stain, are durable and ACTUALLY leak proof! Cannot recommend this product enough! So impressed!

This product of the product is excellent. I like it can stand in my bag, in the microwave, in the dish washer in the fridge or for eating. It does not shatter like glass lunch boxes and very light weight. The only thing is dish washing detergent will leave a smell on silicon but thats the nature of the material. It is also very good for soups. I am loving it and it makes carrying food so much easier.
