Liberate the beauty and depth of the imagery.
I have not dived into this deck extensively, but the guidebook feels constricting and often unrelated to the imagery. The author challenges the reader to engage with shadow work in nearly almost every card description, which on its own is neutral, but comes across in a demeaning way. For example with the card “Relieve Anxiety” we encounter a seated woman in blue unfurling a scroll. She very much appears to be like the high priestess with knowledge of inner mysteries in tarot, yet we are told in the description of this card that we are out of alignment and have pushed down traumatic experience and without a course correction, will be heading for a internal breakdown. Welcome to 2020. It seems like a professionally irresponsible to frame trauma and also trauma recovery in this way . It can easily read as threatening. Unnecessary and unkind for a nervous system challenged with calming the over active amygdala and often ensuing chronic stress response. Relieving anxiety = self care + healthy coping mechanisms while we adapt. If Inna Segal claims to be in a healing field, I would urge her to revisit this approach to mental health and wellness. This is one extreme example that left me wanting to understand more the artist Jack Baddeley’s perspective, intent, and the way in which he may have chosen to entitle his work. And I was not disappointed, but rather invited to loosen the harness of the judgmental prescriptions of the guidebook. The card “Listen to your intuition” was originally entitled, “Conception” - and is an image of a Madonna like figure cloaked in blue releasing or welcoming birds onto her hand. The artist is perhaps inviting us into a wordless place to hear “the language of the birds” which exists in zero books, thus confirming a more open approach to the imagery. I see a moment in time where the mystery of creation is sparked. The source of that spark? Maybe their songs will tell us. There are deep wells within the symbolism used to gaze upon here, yes, there are indeed shadows, and so many nuances to explore. I began by adding the titles I could locate to the descriptions and felt an expansion reading his blog where in a recent entry Drawing Down the Moon, Jack writes, “But art is not a story, nor is it a science. It is not even a craft, although it may incorporate elements of all. What gives art it’s extra power is because it is beyond all of these. A scene is set, a story told but who knows what the story really is? It does not have to follow logic, grammar or the rigid confines of number. When the artist is close to her muse strange things can happen. Unintentional things, irrational things. Art does not have to make sense. Art fills the space left by the rational mind and completes it. Words are knives that cut, divide and define but Pictures are webs that weave associations that are vast and complex. Meaning is therefore relative, vague and subjective. To confine an image to a narrative is to cage it’s vast meaning, separating it from it’s potential. To describe a painting in words therefore will never do justice to a work that embraces suggestion, association and symbolism. It is like light set in stone.” Beautiful. And liberating. Because I love the nuance of this work and find simple tryptics of cards to be so empowering. Like looking into a well to see reflections there and many shimmering pieces as one does in moving water. He goes on to say, “For me painting is not about the product. It is about the exploration, the process. Like alchemy, it is the process of turning mud into light whilst dissolving the artist into the work; it is a transformation of matter and labour into love.” It takes time to allow the insight to rise and while there may be such a gradient of emotional realities there, it feels deeply rooted when the message comes through. The message isn’t always easy, but the underpinning working seems fueled by an ultimate love. Not a finger wagging guidebook. Throw it away or free the images from the pages and make a larger deck. Some of the language used in the guidebook is truly condescending, and yet there is a whole other vibe to the work itself. It seems like this can be the case when Art is interpreted into oracle cards, but this book in particular really threw me. It seems heavy handed. Still, the work is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the tarot this creator is working on come to life. I hope he will share his insights, perceptions, and experience with us if the cards become available.

Beautiful
I have gotten a lot out of this deck - very happy to own it! Cards are good quality and images are lovely. My only criticism of Inna Segal's decks is that I wish there was more diversity in the people that are represented - different ethnicities and body-types - they don't tend to be inclusive.

Great for Healing and Shadow Work
I don't know where to start. I'm really loving this deck. The back of the cards have this really great print that reminds me of ancient times. I found this deck to work very well with the Lunar Nomad Oracle, the Vintage Wisdom oracle, and the Magick of You Oracle. Of course the Heal Yourself cards by the same author work nicely with them as well. They are a large size and they feel really good in your hands. You almost want to just hug or rub on them since they're so soft and you can feel the connection. My first spread had a very accurate message of reducing anxiety as my overall message. The surrounding cards were spot on with that message. I recommend using the Hush Tarot as your tarot deck with this oracle. I'm very pleased to add this to my collection. It's deep and you can feel the cards connecting deep down to stuff you may not want to address. I just recommend adding a deck with loving messages as well since this deck is straight to the point no chaser. You'll need some self care after doing shadow work so select your other decks wisely with this one.

This will take a while but it is totally worth it! Absolutely gorgeous!
This oracle deck moves me. You won't regret getting this at all. Just be patient with the shipper it will get to you. They do respond to you if you get worried. Out of country shipments are delayed.

Great Oracle!
I love this deck. The messages from the cards are inspirational and the book is well done with much insight. I am impressed by it all. If I had to pick anything that I'm not fond of it's the glossy card stock. I'm not really a fan of it, but these are not overly glossy so it's not bad. Again, I'm knit picking here. I am very happy with this deck!
