I needed one of these for my valve guitar amp, specifically a 0.5a slow blow. For £6 for 20 it is very good value compared to the usual alternatives ie Screwfix, B&Q, City Electrical factors. Came in a nice plastic box also and next day delivery. The amp is now working perfectly again.

We’re small for the purpose

In the UK a 3-pin to 2-pin adapter is often used to provide power to devices using European plug arrangements. The adapter should be fused at 1-amp ( 1A ) and that will provide up to 230 Watts of power which is more than enough for typical accessories.However there are some situations where, at switch-on, a typical fuse will not withstand the inrush current of some devices. This was the case with my 66W phone charger which is clearly within the 1A or 230W capability of the plug, but the inrush or initial surge current was a little more than 1-amp. Fitting a slow-blow fuse fixed the problem and the overall current capacity remains 1A, so it remains safe within its intended usage parameters.

Got these as spare fuses for my Yamaha hs5 studio monitors had the fuse blow on one of them and thought it a good idea to get a few fuses. Either way these are perfect for the speakers doesn’t change the sound quality or spectrum highly recommend ✌🏻

Slow Blow fuse went on my Boiler. Called Engineer and he fixed the fault. The fuse is still holding.
