Travel Hard Case for Texas Instruments Nspire CX CAS, Texas Instruments Graphing Calculator

Nice solid (not hard) case
I have purchased 6+ of these cases to protect my calculators. I collect both TI and HP calculators, and it is important that the calculators are not exposed to crushing. The interior has plenty of room for the calculator as well as cables and instructions (although, the instructions that come with most calculators are easily set aside for other reference material. The only negative is that the cases seem to arrive from China in "A slow boat." The number of interagency transactions makes the delivery time about 2-3 weeks. It seems as if the manufacturer would be better served to store stock with Amazon. Other than that, unless you want the bling, nick nack add-ons that other case manufacturers tantalize you with, this is a basic, sturdy case, in my opinion.

A great case, but without all of the bells and whistles you hear in the description.
Firstly, I will discuss the gain you will receive from this purchase: this case protects your calculator up to the form factor of a TI Nspire CX, yet does not leave much room for else. The padding is thick, the walls of the case are rigid, and the overall design of the product is robust, so it accomplishes its use as a protective case for your device. However, the space leaves much to be desired. Because I am using this case for a TI Nspire CX, I do not choose to put anything into the pouch on the other side of the case, as it presses against my calculator due to a lack of room. Sure, smaller calculators may allow you to fit more into the case as a whole, but I view that as a compromise I should not have to accept, especially after reading the product description.I carry my charging cables, wall-outlet to USB adapter, and detailed User Manual in my backpack, as there is no room for it in the case. The carrying strap is not designed with durability in mind, and is not ergonomic in any way, so I simply decided to cut it off to prevent tangling, since that's all it is good for.If all you plan to put in this case is your calculator, and you do not require a carrying handle, then this is the product for you. It is at an economic price point, and will protect your case from all manner of drop, collision, turbulence, and compression forces, yet will not do much else.

Adequate with minor construction issues.
The media could not be loaded. It's suitable. Slightly indented from shipping: cosmetically insignificant. Inner material bonding poorly joined with frayed and unsewn or otherwise unadhered ends at two points. Self-repair remedy is surely feasible with appropriate adhesive, however not something you should be expected to do.

Good case for Nspire.
Sturdy case easily holds and protects my Nspire calculator. Also has compartment for cable and other accessories. I do wish the fit was a bit tighter -- the calculator has room to float around a bit, but a bit of foam would probably take care of this. The firm, but not rigid case walls protect the calculator from scratches, sharp edges, etc, and works well in a backpack or bag. It is not very padded for full protection agains drops to the floor, though it would buffer much of the impact and offer some protection from cracking and case damage. I carry it in a backpack or in my laptop briefcase where it protects the calculator from damage from other items and from being crushed. Overall, I would buy this case again. I have not found anything better for my Nspire.

Pretty worth it, if you really want a calculator case
It works well, I put my calculator (a ti nspire cx cas) in one side and it fits well with enough room to fit my other calculator on top of it, my ti-84, and all of their cords in the cord pocket, which I used to do. But instead of doing this now, I put my nspire in one side and in the other my echo smart pen and its cord as well as a wall plug in for it and its ink replacements, and the cords for the calculator. It's a handy little bag, works well, no complaints with the zipper or anything, that works well. It fits in the front of my bag easily. Haven't really tested the strap on it but it seems pretty generally sturdy.

If you have an expensive calculator- you should prob get this
Since the calculator I bought (*and many others today) has a rechargeable battery that includes cords and it's charging station this is actually pretty useful. It has some foam in there to reduce impact your calculator might go through and if your are like me you sometimes drop your backpack on the floor, or toss it in your car. I would have given this 5 stars if it were made slightly better, but it will do it's job and for that 4 stars!

Nice Case
For people wondering about whether it is hard or not, it is not 100% a solid object that will hold it's shape under pressure but in a backpack or in a purse, or however or where ever you carry it, it will keep your calculator safe. Although because it is not just hard plastic I do not advise putting this at the bottom of your backpack. The case should protect it but like I said it is not a solid case, it is a hard malleable case. As long as you are careful with where you place this and what you do with it, your calculator should be absolutely fine.

Better product Better price
The only thing I see wrong with this case is the zipper trim kind of covers the zipper and gets in the way a little. Other than that it's great. I bought it for a TI-Nspire CX CAS and it fits great. I had bought a name brand case for it and it was way too tight, even without the silicone cover on it. This one fits perfect and is less than half the price.
