Perfect size to take to outdoor restaurants and cafe - Husky sized
USAGE AT CAFES AND OUTDOOR RESTAURANTS:We honestly did not buy this for anything else besides taking it with us to cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating. That was our sole purpose, because 1. the floor is dirty outside and we hug and kiss our dogs all the time, 2. people frown at dogs sitting on restaurant furniture, and 3. services respect us and our dogs better when we bring our own clean-looking dog bed for the pets. It makes us look like responsible dog owners (which we are) and that our dogs are properly socialized (which is half true... they give too much kisses to strangers and bark at every dog that passes by). We will probably never use it at parks or camping, because the purpose of this cot was to keep it “appearing” clean enough for use at restaurants. I promise you, if you bring a dirty bed laced with dirty stains and fly-away fur to an outdoor seating where people eat, no one is going to be happy about it. They may not voice it, but they’ll be secretly disgusted.WHY MEDIUM-SIZE COT IS BEST FOR OUTDOOR SEATING:The MEDIUM-sized dog cot worked out perfectly. When opened, it’s exactly the same size as a normal chair. This was important to us because we needed to be sure that if we brought our own dog bed to an establishment, it shouldn’t trip any one over or get in the way at all. That’s why the large-sized dog cot would not have worked out for bringing to dog friendly restaurants. MEDIUM was perfect size.COVER MATERIAL REVIEW:The cover material is sturdy. It’s quite thick! But we don’t mind this. One time, food dropped onto the cot and stained it. Although removeable, we didn’t want to deal with that hassle. So we scrubbed it with some soap and water until the stain came out, hosed it in the yard with water, then left it to dry for 2 hours in the sun. That’s all we did as far as cleaning it. It was super easy.SIZE:Both our dogs are in the medium-size range, and both are 50lbs each. They are not large dogs, but when my Husky goes on it, she literally spills out of the medium-sized cot. It looks uncomfortable to me, but heck, my Husky loves this bed. You should know though that both my dogs like to squeeze into small things: tiny chairs, tiny cat beds, tiny laps, ... you name it. So, she actually is very comfortable “spilling” out of this cot. My other sheperd-mix dog also loves this bed when she has the chance to use it. She’s also 50lbs, but she looks much smaller in it than my Husky.FRAME REVIEW:The frame is incredibly sturdy as well. It was enough to hold up our Husky who’s 50lbs, but it can easily be for much heavier dogs maybe upwards in the 100lbs area.BAG REVIEW, AND WAYS TO IMPROVISE SETUP AND PUTTING AWAY:If you’re lazy like me and don’t want to use the provided bag, there’s 2 ways to improvise. First of all though, I just wanted to say that bag that comes with it is so fine - it is nothing cheap. I love it, BUT I don’t use it with this cot. We would have to take the thick cover off the frame each time just to fit it back into the bag. We just don’t like that because, like I said, we take this to restaurants and cafes. It’s important that we don’t take a long time setting up and putting the cot away; it gets in the way of people walking. It’s also important that we don’t make too much fur fly everywhere too; it’s unhygienic. So the simpler the setup and cleanup process is, the better it is for everyone. So without ever taking the cover off, in Method 1: we ended up substituting a different and larger bag for the cot, a bag we got lucky with as it was meant for another much larger folding camp chair that we never use. This made setup and putting away the cot take literally 10-20 seconds each time. Also, no, even when folded up, this cot will not fit in the baggies that comes with normal folding camp chairs (like the ones from Walmart). In Method 2, also without taking the cover off: we improvised a bungee cord to wrap around the closed cot when not in use. The bungee hooks onto each other. It compresses the cot into an even smaller size. Sometimes, we just bungee-wrap the cot and not put it in the bag at all because it’s small enough to carry with one hand to and from the car. Convenient and light-weight size! If you don’t want to lose the bungee cord, you can do what I do and tie one end permanently to the cot’s frame.TRAINING DOGS TO USE IT:Training the dogs to use this was easy for us, as it only took about 4 days. We simply placed this on top of one of their favorite soft beds for a few days. We also put one of our shirts or their favorite blanket on top of it. They were confused at first, but they awkwardly got on anyways without much convincing. Sometimes you just need to leave them alone and they’ll figure it out themselves. After a while, they had no choice but to use it and had gotten used to it. It also helps to take away any and ALL the other dog beds that they use during this process. Once they went to use the cot like habit, we brought all the beds back out, then packed the cot away and used it at a cafe. Once we unpacked the cot, our dogs instantaneously got on and got comfortable as if it was their own beds at home. Training success!CLIMATE:My dogs don’t like to use it in the summer... at all.OVERALL THOUGHTS:Overall, this was an amazing buy for us, for the purpose of taking it out to pet-friendly outdoor places. The medium-size is the size of a chair so it doesn’t get in the way. The cover material is very sturdy and easy to clean and dry in the sun (don’t put it out for too long though!!). The frame is so sturdy and holds up very well for each of my 50lbs dogs. The only complaint is that although setup is instant, we just wish that it came with a large enough bag to put this away without having to take off the cover each time. That is not a deal breaker though, as I still bought this knowing full well I’d have to improvise with a bungee cord instead. The buy was still incredibly worth it. Every time we take our dogs out to eat or drink, even at a pet-friendly bar, people would ask about it and fawn over how well-behaved and CLEAN our dogs are (my evil scheme to be welcomed with open arms with our pets at restaurants was a success!). We’ve had this cot for nearly 2 months now, and WE still talk about how great this purchase was. Haha. The most important thing though is that my dogs love it and are comfortable in it. Update: it is now the summer, and my dogs refuse to use it because the bare cement floor is much cooler. I don’t blame them.

Denali Approves!
A few months ago we took our newly rescued pup Denali camping. Each evening he hopped in a tailgate style chair around the campfire, so I wanted to get him his own! Super easy assembly, fabric is super durable, and love that it folds up and has a carrying case. We will be using this wknd while camping but based on his immediate response I think it will be a hit and help keep his coat clean (not as dirty) since he won’t be on the ground. For reference, this is the medium size, and Denali is a 26lbs Pomsky. I do wish it was higher off the ground for when we sit around the campfire with him, but I knew the height going into purchase based on product specs.Cheers to happy campers!

Sturdy but gets dirty quickly
The chair is well-made and sturdy and even the cover is somewhat heavyweight so I guess the cost is justified. Very easy to assemble and fold up. My only gripe is that the cover is light grey (seems the only other color option is a light teal). For an outdoor chair, you’d think they’d offer darker color options to reduce appearance of dirt/mud. Unfortunately, as soon as my dog gets on it, dirt from her paws is immediately shown on the chair which is kind of annoying cause if starts looking dingy very quickly. Cover is machine washable, but that doesn’t mean I want to wash it every single time she uses it. Overall, it does the job. Got a size Large for my 55lb pit mix. She is warming up to it, but for right now she only goes into it when we tell her to and it’s placed directly in the Sun (she loves the warmth).

My dogs love it!
Easy to set up. Thought I would have to work with my dog to get him on it. He sat at my feet and watched me set it up and as soon as I set it down he got right on it as if he knew it was for him. It’s the perfect height (low) for our 20lb dog and most importantly, it’s stable when he gets on and off. It doesn’t rock or fall. Excellent design and size. Folding is easy and perfect for when we go camping in our RV. Highly recommend.

DOES NOT LAST. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
I have a 65 pound Golden retriever. She has not been destructive or rough with the bed in any way. The bed has not spent any time outside. I can tell you from after bathtime that the bed most certainly is NOT waterproof. As for easy to clean, according to the interior tag you can only spot clean the bed. Dogs can do things far worse to beds than can be spot cleaned away. The assembly consists entirely of draping the cover over the frame and the Velcro at the corners will not meet and stay shut because it is a poor design. The biggest thing however, is that after only two years the bed has stretched out so badly that when she lays in it she is actually touching the floor. I would’ve expected this bed to last longer than simply two years after such light use. I attempted contacting the seller through Amazon but was never contacted back. Needless to say I will never purchase from Outrav again!UPDATE: The second bed I purchased in March of this year has also started to sag to the floor and I still have not heard from the seller. BUYER BEWARE!!UPDATE: The buyer Seller finally contacted me and offered a discount on a replacement bed. Not very helpful considering I’ve already spent money on two beds that are complete garbage now. Needless to say I purchased two other beds that are designed by veterinarians, washable, foldable, and much sturdier. Would highly recommend looking into those beds instead. Momarsh elevated dog cots are much better for some extra money.
