Reading Marc Beauchamp's book Survive & Thrive in the Merchant Services Industry and rediscovering why I had asked him to cover Prospecting in my 2012 book Credit Card Processing for Sales Agents.Chapter 37 in his revised book covers Prospecting. He lists 20 different prospecting techniques. Most salespeople prefer relationship and warm leads over cold calling and if cold calling is better in person or by phone.I would suggest getting this book ($4.95 at Amazon for Kindle Edition) and reading to decide which techniques will work best for you depending on what COVID restrictions are in your area.Some card processors are rolling out great new training resources. But Marc's book dives into the psychology of the sale and gives sales agents an opportunity to build upon training received from other sources.

This book provides in depth information that will help further your career.

Got this book after it being recommended by others in the industry. The book references a "free" resource site all throughout. When I enter the web address for this resource site, it just takes me to this very page... He needs to update the book and remove the resource site or he needs to bring the site back. Other than that its a good book. 3/5 Stars

I just completed the Survive and Thrive book from Marc Beauchamp, its a winner! If you sell in the merchant service industry, this is a must-read. The book does a great job of clearly explaining industry terms, effective sales practices, and growing trends. Thank you, Marc Beauchamp, for putting out another excellent resource for industry salespeople!

Same as I expected, perfect.

I was completely LOST getting started in my first business in the MSI! This is like and encyclopedia of everything you could ever possibly need to know about cc processing, equipment, sales, how it all works, etc, etc and etc! I tried searching the internet for this, but it was a black hole that overwhelmed me even more. This book had everything I needed to know in one place and was easy to understand and easy to reference back to when needed. Would have paid triple had I known what it was but glad it was only 20 bucks!
