Nice ski/snowboard jacket
I measure 46" across my chest. That has always been XL in all shirts and jackets that I have worn. I should have looked at the Burton sizing chart as I would have fit better into an XXL. I just have a larger chest. The XXL would have been too big in other areas. The jacket seems to be fairly well made but - as there is always a butt :) Quality has gone down substantially. On everything. I have a 12y/o Burton jacket that I have been wearing forever and want to replace it. It's also an XL but it actually fits me. It's also a lot better quality. This new jacket seemed like it would be warm but the zippers and seams of the garment are not as good as the old style jacket. Price is ok but it should be more like $80. Maybe I am getting old and just jaded as I have been riding for 25 years. I am 38 and expect for $140 that the jacket be of better quality. But - like i said this is how it is for everything now-a-days. More focus on quantity and not "Quality"MAKE SURE TO MEASURE YOURSELF. This was way too tight across my upper back and my arms were very tight. If you are a small non-athletic build person this jacket would be perfect for you. Not for the husky or bulky type!

This is a great jacket, but it is not for serious cold
I saw a few reviews on here about how people's kids were "just fine" wearing this jacket. It's warm, it would be comfortable waiting for the bus stop. It is NOT warm enough for big mountain stuff. I layered up and luckily temps never got below about 15*, but there were some moments it wasn't enough. In contrast, this is replacing an old old 3:1 fleece lined columbia jacket which was comfortable down to -30* (F) last year.Burton doesn't really say this jacket is made for those extreme colds, they're pretty clear it isn't, but other reviewers here seemed to imply it was. It is definitely not made for anything much less than about 30* for most people. With an under layer, and additional layering I'd be comfortable to around 0F I think.I will say the format is nice, the pockets are great, it has zippers under the armpits for cooling, the powder skirt is excellent, and the length is really comfortable. I'm happy with my purchase, but prepare yourself if it's going to be extreme cold.

Poor pocket design. Fits as expected. I am so disappointed.
I jumped on this jacket because as a skier I have always envied the quality of snowboarder's outer wear. Has too be good because snowboarders are always in the snow. It appeared in the pictures to have the pockets I need while skiing. NOPE. No inside zippered pocket for my sissy Iphone which goes dead when it is cold out unless it is inside my jacket. The breast pockets open at the top and have velcro closures which are adequate. Outside the left breast pocket is a side zippered pocket that closes correctly by zipping up. I suppose it is for a cell phone, but the cool reinforced hole on the inside of the jacket and which could be expected to allow an earbud cable to go from pocket to inside of jacket and on up to ears does not. It goes no where. I left the ballpoint pen I used to try to find the passage to the outside pocket because that is the only use I could think of for this "thingy". There are no inside the jacket pockets of any sort. Unacceptable. There are fake flaps on the bottom front of this jacket right where there should be large zippered pockets covered by these flaps. Instead there are side zippers to smaller than necessary pockets. To add insult to injury, the zippers ZIP THE WRONG WAY. They zip down to close them making the pockets entirely useless for anything except gaining access to the pulls to tighten the waist cord for tightening the powder skirt. The powder skirt is sewn in place which I prefer to zippers which unzip and otherwise fail. There is an inside pocket about the right size for an RFD ski pass, but when the coat is zippered the pocket is about at crotch level center of the body making for awkward moments getting through the gate. A sleeve would have been a better place to have located this pocket. I am so disappointed.

Better than expected
This coat is amazing! I am 6'2 200 and got the Large. This size was a perfect fit. I spent 4 hours in a heavy wet snow and it just bounced off the coat. And the breast goggles pocket fits 3 beers perfectly. Which is nice.

Great winter jacket!
This was a blind purchase and I did not know if this was going to keep me warm up in the high mountains of Utah.Boy, was I glad I bought this jacket! Not only is it long down your waist (which is perfect since I am tall)It is warm and windproof. I even had to take it off at one point because I was too warm. This is a comfortable jacket and has a bunch of conveniences to it.Highly recommend

Super warm, fits great, looks dank
Excellent jacket. Got this without trying on a Burton jacket ever and I loved it. I'm 6'0 and a large fit just as it should (a little baggy, but still warm). Speaking of, all I wore under this was a long sleeved shirt in 10 degree weather and it was perfect.

Wow what a great jacket! The pockets are fantastic
Wow what a great jacket! The pockets are fantastic, they have obviously done their research on pocket science...is that a thing? There are large pockets, small pockets, I had so much pocket space that I didn't even bring my backpack!. This jacket kept me so warm, all i wore underneath was a longsleeve t-shirt. Grant it, I snowboard in central California at Dodge Ridge, so, not as cold as I imagine other locales would be. Having said that, I would take my chances with this jacket anywhere. Also, the jacket keeps snow out from under it because of a gaiter(?). I thought it might detract from the jacket's comfort but it did not. Also, theres pockets and zippers inside the jacket. One of my favorite was the little plastic window where you can store your I.D. and credit card or whatever. There's plenty of space in other pockets for a wallet but I really like only carrying my important cards.

Feels like there's a draft in the back of my neck (XXL)
First time wearing Burton, Covert Jacket and noticed that there was a draft coming from my neck. Not sure if the wind was coming in through the hood and making it's way along my neck. I'll give it a go.I got a XXL (I'm 6'4 280lbs) and the sleeves are long! But, I like it because you can hide your hands. They have Velcro so you can tighten up the wrists if your boarding. Chest area is nice and roomy, probably could wear a sweater underneath.Tested in Toronto, Jan 25/19 Weather: -26 and would recommend wearing a thick sweater or hoodie because the jacket still gets cold. The media pocket, is amongst meet the snow skirt which I don’t think is practical at all, unless you had a weather proof device.

Warmer than expected
Used this jacket to go snowboarding in Ottawa, Canada. Temperatures of -20 c.Comfortable, and light, but surprisingly warmer than I had thought. I worse a longsleeve under and I was fine. Pockets are great, no rips or tears after 1 season of use.

Great value
Awesome jacket for the price. Looks great, some good features like pit zips etc. Jacket is on the light side which is what I wanted. I run warm and I have option to layer. Chest pockets are good. Lower pockets are a bit of a miss. Would have liked to had the stash pockets. However, it’s still good value for the money
