I walk outside on my breaks from work and have an issue with my neck feeling like it's burning when it's sunny. I also have long hair and tend to pull in into a ponytail often. I usually wear my ponytail higher up. I think this hat will work fine with most ponytails although you may need to adjust how high or low the brim sits. I love that this hat has neck protection and a large brim. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is also waterproof! I was out walking today and it started raining. This hat kept my head and neck dry. I do live on top of a hill where it is very windy, so the chin strap is a must for me. It would have blown away without the strap. My only small complaint is that the part that should be shading my neck often is blown back by the wind. I don't know what the best solution is to fix this. It would be nice to have a cloth strap that would snap at the bottom of both sides to keep the neck flap covering my neck, and maybe another snap to keep it out of the way when not in use. All in all, though, I am quite pleased with this purchase and will likely buy another one in a different color.

I have a 22.5" head, pretty normal, but this hat was too big and there's no way to tighten it down. There is elastic at the back, but ti's too slack to fit securely.The piecing on the top is very noticeably off center.On the plus side, it would be functional and the material and venting seem breathable.

Bought this for when we go birding... it does NOT sit well on the head. Sits more on top of the head... Drawstring under the chin is the best way to keep it on. I’m 5-6” 135 lb average.. maybe I should use my ball cap and attach fabric on the backside to cover neck and shoulders., wish the cloth in the back was a bit longer to cover the shoulders more. Keeps the sun off my eyes.. I keep it in the car ddi I always gave it.. I will still keep it. Just wish there was an adjustment to make the hat part sit better-down-on the head

Nice lightweight hat. It gives off a bee keeper/ Handmaids Tale vibe when wearing it but it should protect my neck from the AZ sun while playing pickleball. The hat is not fitted and I don’t see how to tighten it up so I will use bobby pins on the back side ponytail holder to keep it in place. It kind sits on the top of the head. It’s not snug like a baseball cap. I would have liked it in white but I didn’t see that option.

Highly Recommend ... we enjoy being out on the beautiful Florida beaches / this hat provides plenty of protection from the sun.

i wear this on the golf course. it has enough side coverage without interfering with line of sight. i can also move it slightly if the sun is in the wrong spot when lining up a shot. good value, i would buy again, may do so to have an extra in the car or golf bag.

I bought this hat last year to use when I work outside in out yard or garden. I don't handle the sun or heat very well, so I bought the hat to keep the sun off my face, neck, etc and to hopefully keep cool...and it WORKS!!! Works so well in fact, that I purchased another one a few weeks ago to use at our get-away place! Now I can weed flower beds, garden, work on my rock border, anything I need to do outside and the sun doesn't bother me at all! Highly recommend this hat!
