Well, except metal. But hey, they're probably great at that too. I cut everything with this snips. Freakin' plastic clamshells? Annihilate them. Personally, I think "f*** you," at the clamshell on each individual cut. Other plastics similarly destroyed.Does (do) your sleep partner(s) snore and keep you up? Do your earplugs stick into your brain when you side sleep? Who wulda thunk _aviation snips_ would be there to help you. You figured out you can cut your earplugs in half so they don't skull**** you from both sides, but to cut you were using a chef's knife and really marring your "way too expensive" "also from amazon" "but rated 4.8 stars" "so it must be worth it" "i'm going to cook so much more this year" cutting board. Answer: this snips cuts them with just the slightest resistance, really great grip feel.Are you trying to open one of those special Colorado "medicine candies" that's wrapped individually and so thickly that children (and small adults) can't open it? This snips punctures that you-fun prophylactic like so much latex.Get 'em. I still don't know about metal, but for everything else in life, there's these.

Overall pretty good. Just two complaints. The first is that it doesn’t open all the way unless you manually pull it apart. That is frustrating on longer cuts. The other is the length of time until the blades are dull. We were using this for small sheets of aluminum. It was extremely thin, so thin that it almost qualified as foil tape. these were dull very quickly. Maybe within 80 to 100 feet?

cutters are dull and shred through the metal. locking mechanism doesn't stay out of the way during use. there must be better cutters available.

I love this tool! I bought it to cut popsicle sticks and other thin woods. So far it’s amazing. The only thing I have a problem with is that it’s meant for big hands. I am a female who’s hands are slightly bigger than most females but it’s still difficult to get a good grip on them.

I like this wire cutter, it is easy to use and cuts thinner wire well. I have some tomato cages that I wanted to halve and resorted to using my large pruners to cut them. I would think that these wire cutters would have been able to snip them but would not do the job. Don't expect them to cut through anything but thinner wire.

They were covered with grease when I got them, including the plastic/rubber handles. They are not sharp and there is an gap between the blades.

These are fantastic. First off, they're way bigger and stronger than expected. I have metal credit card(s) that are not active and needed to be disposed of and the shredder was not strong enough to cut it up. If you're in the same situation as I was, go ahead and add this item to your cart and keep reading.These work. SO WELL. Slices right through the metal cards like butter. These can do a whole bunch of things but I needed these for that one task only and man do they get the job done. 5 stars easy.

I love this pair of snips. I was able to cut a metal mesh easily. As other reviewers have mentioned, they are also great for cutting up credit cards. I found them easy to operate even though my hands are not all that strong. After doing a lot of cutting, my hand (particularly the thumb) doing the repeated cutting motion got a bit sore, but I think that is normal if you don't have very strong hands, and the soreness goes away in a day or so.

I normally use Wiss snips and decided to try these out for the new grips. I work in sheet metal and these snips are horrible. The serrated blades leave visible marks in the metal. They don’t cut smooth at all.

Out of the package these snips bent the metal instead of shearing it. I tightened them, but then the spring wouldn't open them after cutting. Tried adjusting them again, but back to bending instead of cutting.
