I read the reviews too. I know a lot of people complained about the “self inflating” feature. Upon opening the product and freeing it of its elastic bands it did begin to inflate. The suction of air was audible. After a couple of minutes it was very slow to where I realized it was either going to take forever (and I needed it now) or I had to inflate it myself. I ended up blowing into it like a regular inflatable. It’s really not that big of a deal. This mat is SO padded!!! It has a foam inside as well as the air it later gets by inflating. Don’t let the reviews steer you away. Once I blew it up and sealed the valve it was absolutely perfect and sturdy. It fits like a glove in the Regalo play pen. I’m not kidding. There are no gaps. My little one smacked his head on the floor while rolling in the playpen the other day. My play pen doesn’t have padding and the regular mat I was using was not padded enough at all. Insert this one. Please buy!! Whoever is really stuck on the fact that it does not self inflate is lazy. Blow it up and call it a day. Gosh.It’s very easy to clean up messes. Totally wipeable.I haven’t folded it back up for travel but it honestly seems as easy as opening the valve and rolling it into a burrito to release the air. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My little one has recently decided that her playpen is her favorite napping location and this mat has made that possible! Very cute, easy to clean, it’s almost perfect!I only wish that vent was made of a sturdier plastic.So good!

I was a little nervous because I wasn’t 100% sold on it but man, this thing is great! Fits perfectly and is super cute. Easy as heck to clean. (We had an.. explosive event and it was no problem taking it out to clean and disinfect. I didn’t even warp the color.) I did have to blow it up a bit upon opening the box.

The mat itself is nice, easy to clean, easy to inflate, and seems sturdy. It does seem very hard to deflat and fold back up though.I read a review that says it would fit the California Beach co tent/play pen and would just be an inch off around. I'm here to say it's wayyy more than an inch off and to say don't buy it for that play pen lol. It's about 5-6 inches off of you put it to one side. If you put it in the center it's about 2 inches off around (however it does slide around) It's enough of a gap to where if my baby fell backwards, she could hit her head and get hurt. So we are sending it back.I think it would make for a great pad though for the right fitting play pen!

I actually purchased my play yard on marketplace and realized it needed a padding. This was perfect! It is just the right thickness to keep our grandson safe from small tumbles. Super easy to clean. I was pleased at how easy it was to inflate the pad. The yard and pad sitting outside is the grandsons favorite place to be!!

This is a nice pad to put in the playpen. It is enough so that the baby won't be hurt if he falls over in the pen.

This playmat is cute but I have several issues with it. Firstly, it’s too big for the hiccapop play pod. Secondly, the self inflate isn’t all the great, I usually blow some air into it manually by mouth. It’s not easy to put away and pull out daily which is what I wanted. And lastly, the self inflate tube sticks out quite obviously and my daughter who is teething is obsessed with chewing at it. I will be trying to return this through Amazon.

Great product to compliment our travel playpen. Super easy to use and I love that you can blow into it to speed up I’m the inflating process and to make it extra full. It’s sufficient for our travel needs. While a child technically could sleep on this, it’s not decently thick enough to serve as a mattress (maybe it would if the playpen is set up on carpet?). We just use it to keep our active 10 month old comfortable when playing im a contained space. It’s a little difficult to deflate and scrunch back up into the bag but not terrible. I would squeeze the air out as I tried to tightly roll it up.
