Good quality for the price

I originally bought this to use as a rain umbrella, but have discovered how effective it is as a parasol. I used it to stand in line out on a hot sidewalk and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the temperature under the umbrella was a good 5-7 degrees cooler than with another umbrella that didn't have the black layer inside. This umbrella is auto open and close, so it should be practical to use in the rain as well. It folds down to a compact size, but has a larger canopy than you would expect for a folding umbrella. I'm really pleased with the color too - exactly as it appeared on my monitor. It's a very pretty shade of pale mint green. You have to work a bit to get it folded and strapped tightly enough to fit it inside its carrying case, but if that is a problem, I could just not put it back in its case! I have only had it for a couple of months, so can't speak to the durability. If it breaks within a year, I will definitely come back and revise this review.

This is a nice umbrella. Worked fine but the size seems about normal for a regular umbrella. It did not feel light to me. I have a samsonite travel umbrella that is smaller and lighter. I was hoping for a different color travel umbrella. I will still use this but not for travel.

It was an average warm, humid day here in NC and while slightly overcast, i still felt the emanating heat from above. I pulled out my new umbrella and i'm delighted to report it lived up to its rave reviews. Aside from the perky (summer appropriate) coral color and the ease of use (love the push buttons for easy opening & closing), it made what is typically a torturous wait for a bus dramatically less so. In fact, i had just begun to enjoy the relief it provided when i saw the bus heading my way. Obviously, i can't speak to durability yet, but will update if it fails before summer's end.

After about the second use one of the spines broke. It still usable, but annoying that it broke so fast.

I usually walk 2 laps around the building during my break time at work and I've been using regular umbrella to avoid direct sunlights. And my co-worker got the sun umbrella and found out that it blocks more heat. So I was searching for the similar one and found this and I really like this one. Auto open and close and light weight and pretty color. I use it everyday and got another one for my son. Wish there is more selection of the colors.Happy with the purchase.
