Bought this charming book yesterday when I visited Jenks on his lovely farm hoping it would he as charming as out tour of the farm. It does not disappoint. Read a chapter or read it cover to cover and then read it again. Filled with gentle wisdom and humor from years of living on a working organic farm just like his tours are. Already planning a return to trip for more plants. Thanks Jenks!

While reading Funky Little Flower Farm I felt like I was being educated in gardening, I felt inspired to love the earth and what it can produce even more than I already did, I felt like I was spending time with extended family, and loved being entertained with amazing stories all at the same time. I had to share this experience so I bought the book as a gift for one of my best gardening friends. It was so appreciated and loved that I'm afraid I set the bar so high for gifting to this person that it will be hard to match it, much less top it. I've got a good chance to do either or both, if Jenks Farmer keeps sharing his knowledge and stories.

Jenks Farmer is a natural born storyteller and gardener. In Funky Little Flower Farm, he imparts both wonderfully told stories and garden wisdom you won’t find anywhere else. His book will fill you with a newly found zest for gardening and love of nature. Stories about bees in wallboards, donkeys who guard the farm, pass along flowers and sowing larkspur were a few of my favorites. I’ve purchased that larkspur seed and am sowing it this afternoon to have blooms in the Spring. Thank you, Jenks!

This book has helped me to better understand the importance of healthy soil. Without healthy soil you can’t have beautiful flowers. And healthy soil doesn’t mean all the NA made chemicals available today. I also truly enjoyed the stories intertwined with all the gardening knowledge. I’m very happy I purchased this book.

Great stories will inspire you to visit the farm in rural South Carolina. You’ll want keep an eye out for lilies as you take walks through cemeteries and old homesites.Donkeys are waiting just beyond the field of flowers!

When I heard Jenks Farmer's second book was available I had to have it. Great read for nature and plant lovers. I always learn from his books, videos, and presentations.
