I use "fair" shade. The texture is fine and it applys well, and is natural looking.

I keep repurchasing this over and over. I am associated with environmental law and know first hand the detrimental, mostly fatal, effects of long term exposure to silica and asbestos-contaminated talc products. I enjoy knowing this product has neither. I would prefer they didn’t include chemical sunscreen and relied solely on physical sunblocks to achieve the spf, but the two chemicals they use do not cause any stinging or burning for me and are used in a fairly small percentage. This product is sheer but provides a nice, non-cakey finish on the skin. It can appear a little polka dotty on the pores of the nose, but blending a little with a beauty sponge alleviates that. Will continue to repurchase as long as they maintain current ingredients.

I originally bought this product in Medium, which was too dark, so I bought the next lightest color, Light, and it was too light. My solution is to apply Light first, then contour/bronze with Medium by making a figure 3 on each side of my face, and then go over with a light dusting of Medium all over, and set with a spray.I use this over moisturizer and sunscreen to keep the sunscreen in place and add a physical spf layer that also protects from blue light. The formula goes on as a your-skin-but-better compact powder that can absolutely replace foundation for anyone that doesn't need medium to full coverage, and looks quite natural. Setting with a spray and using rose water spray as needed keeps the product looking skin-like without becoming too matte or dewy.The formula is amazing and exceeds most trendy department store compact powders with the same light protection benefits. I'm sure it would set a liquid foundation well, but it absolutely shines as a standalone spf product with sheer-to-light buildable coverage for people with few skin issues. If a dab of concealer and this powder can't fix it, you may need a medium or full foundation. I love that it's a compact so you can take it on the go without worrying about spillage like some loose spf powders on the market.I took off one star for the fragrance, which is pleasant, but I prefer none, and for the limited shade range. There should be at least two colors in-between light and medium, one with a neutral tone and one with a golden tone. You can literally use Medium as a matte bronzer if your tone is Light or Fair. If Physician's Formula can make two light tones, they can at least make two medium and two deep tones. I love it enough to make two compacts work, but not everyone who could benefit from this wonderful product will or can.Tl;dr: Great formula, great skin protection, great sheer-to-light buildable coverage as a standalone product. Needs more medium and deep tones.

Well I buy wayyyy to much makeup on Amazon and rarely review but there is something about this that I like. I will often reach for this to "touch-up" my make up throughout the day with a powder brush to keep it looking fresh....and I just really like the finish of this and the smell. I am totally weird about scents but this one doesn't bother me AT ALL. Infact, I love it. My husband was giving me a hug and he was like "you smell good" and I knew right away it was this powder I just applied to my face lol. I am purchasing again today b/c I have dropped it 17 times and need more..... hope this helps, ladies. Stay beautiful inside and out!

Great product and I love the idea that a powder it has SPF in it only issue is if you’re older and have fine lines, they will stand out as it makes your face look almost pearl like.

I love this brand of products. They are lightweight, but cover well. They also have a delightful smell (think Hawaii, coconuts, etc.)

I bought this after having a really old Physicians Formula Defense powder that was an SPF 50. They don't make that one anymore. But this one was a very nice replacement. I have had skin cancer so the added SPF on my face is something that is important to me. I also don't like a shiny face from wearing a moisturizer with a SPF too. So these two make a good combo. Sometimes I also use a foundation underneath it too. Fair is really fair, so you might want to go up on color a bit unless you are truly a really fair-skinned person. I wish I had and I am usually a fair person.

Like the coverage! Does have a slight scent.
