Cheap and easy to use
It's cheap and I know it. I wanted to hang curtains on my ceiling, so I doubled up a piece of 1/8" thick wire and hung that on eye hooks, then slipped these rings on. Each ring was easy to open and rotate on to the wire--after putting up 40 of them, my fingers still didn't hurt at all! Each ring is about 5/8" in diameter, so they slide down the wire easily (don't use lanyard clips like I tried earlier, those just don't slide at all!). I then clipped alligator clips onto the back of my curtains and hooked them onto these rings.10pcs per curtain are holding up some pretty thick curtains (63" length). If they bend for the longer curtains, I'll just couple the rings together.Things to note:- You probably don't need a split ring tool for this, unless you have huge fingers that can't grip these, or if you are 3 years old and too weak to hold a pencil- These are cheap and easy to bend (which is why they don't hurt your fingers). Don't plan on putting significant weight on these, but if they're working together they can hold up some nice long curtains.- The material is thin and ends abruptly, no tapered edges like keychains. They also don't have an offset in the middle like keychains. Imagine a spiral or a spring made of thin wire and cut off after 2 rotations. That's what it looks like.- The ends don't match on each piece. If you're buying this for aesthetics, you might consider that some will end 2mm before the second overlap, or the ends will match up perfectly on either side of the middle wire. These worked really well for my purposes. If I need more I'll definitely buy this specific product again.

Think Jewelry, Not Keys or Dog Leashes!
I bought these to use for connecting a removable handle to the small light purses I make and to hold small items like supermarket loyalty tags and a tiny USB drive on a larger key ring, and to put on zipper pulls or to attach charms to a bracelet. They are fine for light weight duty only; not a collection of keys or dog leashes! Think jewelry, not heavy utility! Great for jewelry box keys or other tiny keys like that. Don't expect them to take a lot of weight without bending. They are a complete ring and not at all like those things that car dealers attach a tag to your key with. These are a true split ring, and nicely made. The price couldn't be beaten anywhere! They do come from China, so don't expect them in a week or two; be patient. They are what they say they are. If you're thinking regular key ring, this is not the product you want. They are perfect for my purposes! Nicely finished; smooth and easy to open, and I would buy other sizes from this seller.

Exact size to Attach dog tags on my cat's collar
I buy "people" dog tags from Tag-Z dot com because you get TWO of them and free shipping, any color and most importantly the tags have lots of room for my full address, phone and email and the People Tags are not that big that it looks funny on my cats. I choose a red tag for a deaf cat which states DEAF CAT and he wear it along with his regular dog tag..just in case he escapes out the back door. That said....the pre-hole drilled single hole in the dog tags need something to attach them to the collar and these small rings are PERFECT. I always by the single drilled hole tags. My cats wear both dog and cat collars - all with the snap close clip. If the collar does not have a metal bit to attach the ring/dog tag too...just pry open the ring and force the collar through until the ring is around the collar and then attach the tags.if you choose to have a hole drilled on both ends of the dog tag...these rings will keep the tag against the collar so the tag does not hang down.

A good amount of rings for the price. Got the job done.
I purchased this product for a project and they worked out well for that. I kind wish they were a little more heavy duty, it's pretty hard from the picture to tell how heavy, or strong they are. But that aside they helped me get the job done and I have a bunch leftover for future uses

Not heavy duty but great for crafts and small projects
These are great for what I wanted, which is to attach to paracord lanyards that I make. I think they are reasonably stiff, and the size that I wanted. If you are looking for something for keys or anything bulky or heavy, they are too small and light duty for that. These are made from round wire and they are simple rings like the kind you would use on a fishing line. Split rings for keys are usually made from wire that is flat on one side and the part between the ends is bent so that the ring sits flat. I have to assume that the people who wrote bad reviews didn't read the reviews or look at the pictures before purchasing. If you want something that is made like a key ring, 100 Pack - CleverDelights 9/16" Small Key Rings - 15mm Split Key Rings - Strong Key Chain Ring Connector - 15mm 9/16 Inch .

Decent thin gauge split ring
This is a simple wire split ring. The wire is round throughout, not tapered or grooved. Not sure of the actual gauge as it isn't listed, but it is fairly light. Where the wires double it measures about 1.5-1.75 mm. The outer part of the ring measures 16mm, the inside circle is just barely over 15mm. The wire is double throughout except about 2.5-3mm where it is single at the joining split. It would probably not stand up to the torque of repeated opening, but it held its shape even when I opened it to almost a quarter of an inch to thread onto an electric-type car key. I received mine in 14 days from my order, even though this was an international shipment that wasn't expected to arrive for another 10-30 days.

A wealth of uses
Very durable & just the perfect size for a few keys. I do use them for other things too & I like that they are easy to separate so I can acutally get the object on there with not as much hassle as some other rings.

Exactly As Described
Exactly as described. Needed these to make keychains to sell for a fundraiser. Does the job well. Exactly what you see on any typical key chain. About 5/8th of an inch in diameter.
