Red Lantern 17" Ido Lamp, Rosewood

I ordered two of these for my living room since we're doing a Japanese theme and they are the most perfect lamps I've ever seen !!!! They're definitely a lot larger than I thought ! They're no tiny table lamp ! They're absolutely beautiful pieces and excellent additions to the living room area s. They bring life and such beauty to the room . I absolutely love the size , the style , and how sturdy they are . I am SO happy I bought these ! I actually bought another one in Oak for my bedroom . These are EXCELLENT !

I had envisioned this in my bedroom, but when it didn't look quite right there, I set it up on top of a low bookcase in the living room with a couple of other handsome objects. It absolutely makes the space. Gives off a warm glow and makes the whole room look better. Amazing how one little $50 lamp can do that! I would buy this again ten times. It also feels very well made. Definitely contemplating buying at least one more.

I purchased the 17" Ido Lamp - Walnut, and it definitely feels cheap, light, and absurdly overpriced, but it does have charm and does give off a nice Shoji vibe. Feels like it should cost $19.99.

I got two of them for my massage room. They provide enough light without shining the overhead into my clients eyes. They look great and provide atmosphere.Oh, and they arrived fully assembled! That was an unexpected surprise because I had ordered a different one previously that was a pain to assemble. All I had to do was remove them from the box, screw in a bulb, and plug them in. They are beautiful and well made.

Light, but still fairly well built. The paper screen isn't traditional paper but it does a fine job of glowing with light all the same. If I could change one thing about the lamp I'd make it a bit heavier, but it's not enough to knock off a star, especially as it's not that hard to do at home. Not bad for the price.

Pretty and sturdy, but seriously diffuses light. A 40W incandescent (box says 45W max.) hardly illuminates anything, and gets a bit warm. Works best with a 100W-equivalent compact fluorescent, unless you are in serious need of some serious mood lighting. :D Compact fluorescents also stay cool.

Just what I was looking for. They are well made, sturdy and beautiful, plus they create a warm soft light. Buy them!

I ordered in the color "honey" which looks like a normal color for bamboo in the picture, but its actually a bright yellow and looks like it belongs in child's playroom.

the package arrived damaged so I returned it for replacement. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the new lantern came. It is beautiful, I am very pleased with this purchase and the quality!

Love this lamp! I was going to purchase another, but the price has gone way up. Still worth the money if you enjoy it though. Takes 60w bulbs max. Works for me.

Overall it was good purchase. The aesthetics it gives a room are what I wanted. The problem with products like these which focus on simplicity is that mistakes really do stand out. The cracked and repaired corner on the top is quite visible but its not a big deal compared to the torn paper.If you see how this lamp is packaged and sent (immaculately) the only time it could have been torn was before the packaging. Its hard to miss a rip in plain white paper so I feel it was just ignored.What a bummer. Its not like the lamp is cheap.
