Hope They Make a Tan or LIght Brown Version Soon!
I love zipper boots, and I can't understand why they aren't more popular and come in more choices. I ordered these boots in grey, in my usual size of 8 !/2M. The grey is just a tad lighter shade than in the photo, but still good looking. They fit well and are comfortable, pliable and easy to put on and take off. The zippers work smoothly. They have good arch support. They are handsome, stylish, well shaped and proportioned, and nicely crafted. I like the fact that they have a generous heel like a cowboy boot, but they appear to work well with dressy as well as casual clothes. My only criticism is that they don't have the appearance or smell of genuine leather, but seem like what is known as synthetic "polyurethane leather". Time will tell as to how durable they are. But whether or not they are genuine leather as claimed, I do like these boots, and if the manufacturer decides to make a tan or light brown version, I will be a repeat buyer!

DO NOT BUY! HORRIBLE QUALITY BOOTS!
TOTAL CRAP! I have been purchasing dress boots for over 15yrs now. I love dress boots because you can wear good, comfy white athletic socks with them w/out anyone seeing your socks. Typically I've purchased Florsheim or Stacy Adams or even Giorgio Brutini and they last about a year (wearing them Monday - Friday for work). I noticed rain in the forecast so I figured I'd best purchase a new pair seeing as now my old pair had a small hole worn through the ball of my foot (and I hate getting wet socks).I read the reviews and liked the look of these so I figured I'd give them a shot. They arrived over the weekend and I was excited to sport my cool new boots to work Monday morning. They were a little large and someone uncomfortable in the upper to walk in but I didn't pay too much mind since all new boots take a week or so to wear in. I walked to my truck and it was raining slightly (a light mist really) - after my 20minute drive in to work I walked into the building and sat at my desk till lunch. Come lunch I ran a couple errands and went home quick to drop some things off... that's when I noticed it seemed there was something stuck to the bottom of the toe of my boot. NOPE - it was the sole coming off! I took off my boots to reveal the damage caused by walking on damp pavement that morning... NEVER have I EVER had a pair of boots do this to me.These are CHEAPLY MADE and EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY! DO NOT BUY. Look at the pictures! You can see how the sole is coming off... there are areas where it looks like it's bubbling up / delaminating from the moisture. You can even see how the left outer sole is worn off from resting my foot on it's side while driving. It's like these are made of pressed board and not real leather. TOTAL WASTE of $56.99!!!! I Want My Money Back!!!!

They look good...but aren't the most comfortable option...
Full disclosure...I bought these to be part of a costume. I'm glad that's all I bought them for. They appear to be well made (I haven't worn them enough to see how true that is), and I like the materials. But they are really narrow through the toes. I mean, I realize that's part of the design of the shoe, and I even bought a half-size larger than I normally wear just to be sure. But after wearing them for a couple of hours for a video shoot, my toes were begging to get out of them. The heel also feels awkward to me, but that may just be because I'm not used to a Cuban heel boot. For what I bought them for, they're a good choice. If I'd bought them for daily wear, or even special occasion dress wear, I'd be really disappointed. But my feet aren't as resilient as they used to be...your mileage may vary.

Still happy with the product
I know that I have large feet and they are hard to fit, this is why I ordered the largest size they offered on the website. But thirteens are too long and there is a lot of space beyond where my toes end. Even with the largest side, the instep is still tight. Not enough not to fit; but enough to tell me I am going to have to wear them for a while to break them in. There was also the discovery that although they were described as black, when you get out in the sunlight, they appear more of a very dark reddish brown in color. However, I still like the product. You just need to be aware and plan accordingly.

form over function
These shoes are a classic design but I deducted a star because of the sole. It's not leather, thank goodness, but it's not a quality rubber either. It's a hard plastic that doesn't offer grip or cushion. I realize that it was a design choice to keep the sole thin and dressy but they would have been much better with a softer undercoat. I may end up having rubber soles glued on.

Pretty, but unstable. The heel seems off kilt
The boots are pretty, and I was excited until I put them on: my feet were off center, and I felt unstable, as if I were on a pair of ice skates, since the heel did not rest flat on the floor when I stood straighn, much less when I waltked.I am returning the boots today.

Hey they are grey....
These boots are very stylish and fit perfectly. I'm not sure how they will wear yet but they are really nice boots and I like them so far very much. They even smell like leather and are comfortable to wear plus light weight. I think the leather soul will be slippery as usual in the icy climate I live in Minnesota but that is to be expected so I may have a rubber soul put on them. They are a heck of a buy for the price and I was surprised as to the light weight and classy style of these, they look like they should have cost twice as much. First time for grey but I like the color a lot.

Check the quality
The sewing on top of one of the boots was flawed. The manufacturer did not like the fact that I said that the boot was a factory second. I kept the boots because they were cheaper than other brands. The flaw is at the top of the boot and does not show when wearing.
