Exactly what I needed. Simple to install and works great.

For the most part, this fan was plug-and-play for my Heat N Glo fireplace. The electrical outlet already existed, all I had to do was plug it in. Unfortunately, the thermal device that has to heat up to all the fan to start had been knocked partway off the magnetic plate it attaches to. I had to put a small bolt in it to be sure it would heat up properly.Once installed, I had to play around with where the magnetic plate was anchored to the fireplace to be sure it came on. I ended up attaching it to the side of the firebox about 4-6" up from the bottomOnce it is up a running, it was reasonably quiet on low to mid-speed. I am not sure I will ever run it at high speed since it is so loud and actually echos a bit in its metal surroundings.The output from the fan was exactly "meh". I was hoping for a bit more heat output but it is much better than nothing.

Decent fan. A little noisy. No installation instructions provided.
