Purchase cable seperately. Overall, the unit deserves 5 stars, but whoever wrote the ad when we purchased ours omitted the fact that the cable portion of the lock is NOT included. Cables are available in different lengths elsewhere. Even after purchasing a cable, the price was typical for similarly made units that we would have bought to save having to do even more research after the initial sale. If you trust the Master Lock name, it is worth it and clearly half the the price of some of the 'designer' brand locks made for motorcycle specific applications.
