Awesome machine but I just cannot give 5stars but it would worth like 4.5stars
FZ-55 is a machine close to Perfect even for personal use. I hope Panasonic would release a minor edit of this laptop and make it more suitable to business usage. (To cut off the handle for example and a little less rugged touch pad, to fit in a circular touchpad like what they do in their lets note series). However, anyway, this laptop is very close to perfect. Here I would give some thought about mine after 3 months usage.Pros:1. Really epic like battery life, there are many laptops claim they have 20hours like battery life as they only capable to give you like 5-6hours, however, FZ-55 give me averagely about 15hours of battery life even in comparatively high nits, with dual batteries. It give you full confidence to deal with your business, no longer to worry about battery life at all.2. Truly rugged designed, without any flex no matter how hard your click upon your keyboard, very very sturdy, good feedback, long keystroke and good typing experience. Like old days ThinkPad.3. Loud dual speakers, it performs as good as my HP Zbook, truly decent to a rugged laptop.4. Super bright display, tight hinge5. Fast WWAN, good wifi-retrieve efficiency. With T-Mobile, I can get up to 140Mbps peak speed and 50/40M average speed, tripe than my old ThinkPad EM7455 card. I suppose Panasonic have more MIMO antenna than Lenovo did in their laptops. This laptop could download things in 13MB speed, very rare in my area, faster than all smartphone. (EM7511 actually only support 600Mbps X16 speed, but outperform many X24 Modem in smartphone, awesome).Cons:1. Really white wash color coverage, and detectable PWM frequency, it would add more strain to your eyes after long hour usage.2. Narrow vertical scale of touchpad, but too much wide horizontal size made touchpad easy to miss touch but barely output good efficiency, Panasonic should avoid this issue, and reposition this touchpad to more left place to help with precision of typing.3. Medivorce performance, 8665U utilization of this machine is just so so, not surprise at all. However, it is rugged, good to use, bright, and well cutomizable, therefore, I still believe it is the BEST machine to personnel who need to do serious work.RecommendedAboveUPDATE, no more recommend, this display failed within half of a year. Went to Panasonic National service Center twice and they cannot fix a damn screen cable issue. The display is awful already, when they gave you a switch, you will received a whitewashed panel, hard to believe this part passed panasonic quality control procedure. Now, I am communicate with Panasonic, panasonic complain and Amazon, I will update my result as soon as I get it back. Horrible quality, tough case, maybe. but fragile heart, never expect it would fail earlier than my ThinkPad. What a quality. Now the hinge have problem and have to send it back for the 3rd time. And seller do not respond to me, it seems he should have already blocked my number. What a service. If you decline to help, basically you can say that you cannot help me at all instead of hanging me in the wind and wait for an impossible feedback. Looks nice but end pathetic level seller.DO NOT BUY IT
