Update 1/13/2021. The seller reached out to me a few days ago informing me they'd upgraded the saber and asked if I'd like to test one and review it. I am happy to report that this upgrade is very good. I'll start with the cons of this model first. First off, the speaker is very tinny. It's not as bad as some LGT speakers I've had, but the sound quality could still be better. That said for the price it's very good. The next is more just a personal thing, but it comes with a 32 inch blade. For average people that's not a big deal but I'm 6'2 so a 36 inch is preferred. Either way it's a good size for the average person. Finally, there are no different blade styles (unless I just haven't figured out how to do it after reading the instructions), so the Kylo Ren font doesn't really make sense to use unless you just don't care about that.Now for the pros. They upgraded to a full inch diameter instead of the 3/4" that it was before. This makes the saber feel much better in the hand and makes it capable of light to medium dueling. The LED in the hilt is pretty good especially for the price. It says it's smooth swing, but know it's the eco smooth swing that does more separate sounds rather than a completely smooth sound while you swing. It's not a proffie or xenopixel, so be aware you are going to get what you pay for here. It has 10 sound fonts, but no different blade styles as states before, so plenty of room to mess around with different characters. It also has the click or cycle options for colors rather than holding the button and trying to get the right color. Finally, and I actually just discovered this before I wrote this update, is that it has a swing to power on feature. Rather than having to use the switch every time you just need to rotate it a little bit at a moderate speed to activate it.All in all I'm very happy with this saber, and the customer support team that reached out in the first place.**PREVIOUS REVIEW**Complete garbage. This is not a duel worthy saber. It says medium to heavy grade dueling, but if you hit this with any kind of force it'll probably snap. This is due to it being thin-walled and 7/8" instead of the one inch that's advertised in the details. Hilt feels fine but I have to send it back after not even having it a full day because the chasis was overheating so quickly and so badly that I could smell that the wires were burning. I would say it's fine if you want to get something for your kid, but the internals would probably overheat too soon for them to really enjoy it. Also, the LED is very weak and so is the speaker. If you want a duel-worthy lightsaber, go to Rebel Sabers, Saberforge, or Vader's Vault, or find a reputable independent saber smith. Even for a hundred dollars this is a pitiful excuse of a lightsaber.

Very pleased. Bright good for light dueling. Has a nice wow factor on appearance.The grooves on the grips are slightly sharp but can be worked down yourself. Sound is decent but speaker has a muffled hum. Comes with several different light and sound set ups. Battery lasts about 20 mins.

Well, I'm going to give this item three stars.It arrived on time, and charged up quickly, and it's nice and bright - realistic looking.But the sound effects are very loud.Also, it won't change color the way it's supposed to. The only color I ever get is pink. When I press the button to try and make it change color it just flashes on and off.Other than that, it's fun. Probably not the best saber, though. Wish it would change color like it was supposed to and wish it wasn't so darn loud.EDIT - Had to return it, unfortunately. It suddenly just stopped working altogether. I was willing to put up with the noise, and willing to put up with it not changing color - but it just stopped working. I didn't have it very long. I'm disappointed. Oh well. I got a refund.

So far very nice saber, small and sleek in the hand, very sturdy feeling and blade is strong and locked in place. Comes with extra of the small retention screws, and the 3 sound fonts are light/ dark/ ren’s which is nice. Only negative would be this thing is loud! Already stuffed some fabric to muffle the speaker but it’s still very loud. Sound quality is average, reacts well to motion and impact. No problems changing color or activating FOC, if you hold for a few seconds and then tap it flashes, or hold for a few seconds and release, then hold and it will cycle through the colors. Tap once for blaster fire and to lock in color, otherwise you can continue to hold button to continue cycling. All in all i’m happy with it so far.

The amount of customization you get with this saber us unparalleled! And they allow and support people opening up the product/modifying it is fantastic! The color options are amazing and I didn't expect to have that many options, especially since we didn't see that many options when looking at the product page on here!The only question I have is: is there a way to adjust the volume level, or turn the volume off completely?

Super amazing! Endless entertainment, my brother and dad have them and they battle all the time, they are really sturdy and you can actually spar with them. They have color changing options and are overall an amazing product

The sound stopped working after a day. I bought it for my kid and it just stopped working. Very disappointing.

I purchased this for my husband for his birthday. He has been wanting one for awhile. He seems to enjoy and like it.I believe it is a good start to what will be his collection I'm sure

The blade looks super cheap and unrealistic, also the sound is poor quality

At first everything was great, Very cool stuff. Then after having duals, it broke. We could no longer put the elements together. From what I noticed, the threads were done poorly, and this made the elements unable to put them together again. Would not screw together any longer. It is really too bad, because they are very cool.

Was tricky figuring out all the functions, but the video with the demo on how the light saber functions was super helpful. Son is very happy with this item.

The media could not be loaded.  The blade is really resistant. The saber effects are really cool. The smooth swing works well, it means that as long as you move the saber it will make a sound.
