These save me lots of money!
I feed about 60 bales over 7 months. With the hay nets I get 2 extra days per bale. That equates to a savings of 20 bales over the 7 months. At $50 a bale that's $1000 dollar savings. I have 2 bales being fed at a time so the cost of 2 hay nets is worth it to save a grand. They do not hold up all that well and every time I put a bale out I have to tie up a couple holes with the string supplied. These will last me a season so they are well worth the money.

Pretty darned good hay net!
This haynet works great. The price is right and it's easy to handle. I have a hay net that I've used for five winters and it has done its job well but is very heavy and difficult to handle, especially when wet. It also costed over $200. It came with repair twine and I have fixed many holes easily and successfully from very adamant horses. I put my bales in a ring, which keeps the net's bottom from being stepped on and torn by horses with shoes or who paw. This ring was supposed to come with repair twine, but did not. I have twine left over from my old one. Even if this one doesn't last as long as my old one, it only cost $80. This net was bought as a second net as I am now feeding six horses. I put them both out in the field and they finished the hay in the Tech net faster because the holes are larger than in my old one. When it got really low I pulled the net off easily to let them finish the hay and it was easy, even though it was wet due to its lighter weight and I am a 65 year old woman doing this alone. Even though my old one is going strong I decided to order another Tech net, but they are out of stock. Will keep looking for it to come back. I attached a picture of the freshly covered hay. I'm sorry that I forgot to take a picture of the depleted net. I examined it and there were no holes. Hay lasted a week.

Terrible Quality - do not recommend
I've been slow feeding my barn for the past 6 years and have used many different modes throughout that time. I bought two of these to replace the use of single small bale nets ans save me some time feeding. Within the first few hours the horses had ripped several holes in the nets. The material the net is made of is incredibly soft, not durable at all - now it has ripped twice when I've been stretching it over the big bale with barely any tension. It is not the same material as the small, free hay bags that come along with the order. Additionally, the holes are too big and the horses can eat too quickly - not 'slow feed' at all. Useless after 13 days, don't waste your money. Just spent double the money per net on a different brand and am incredibly satisfied with the quality/durability of those. So guess price does affect quality.

Exactly What I was trying to achieve
I feed a variety of livestock within the same pasture. I needed to get just one or two more days from a round bale. I was nervous to try this but I am so glad that I did. I still feed in a metal round bale feeder, some holes have been chewed open but I can easily patch them up. The amount of hay that is being saved is insane, nothing left after the bales is finished. No more piles of wasted hay. It takes some practice to get the net on and usually more than one person. If you live where it is cold, we bring the net in the night before we use it to let it thaw out, if not, you cannot put it on frozen. I would expect to replace it within 6-8 months but that's not bad with 7 large livestock eating off of it.

Not as durable
Overall, the product works fine. However, less than three days in of use several strands of the nylon netting had been ripped and already large holes in the netting. So I would not say this product is as durable as stated. It will do what I need it to do, but definitely won’t last as long as other brands that I purchased prior to.

Durable
I read reviews in which horses bit holes etc. I’ve been using it for a few months and have not had any issues and there three horses feed from it. Great product and would buy again. Also, came with the two feed nets as advertised.

Save us SOOO much money in hay. GREAT BUY!
This hay net has held up so well in the last 3 months we've used it. And we've had 4 big horses and 2 minis eating through it all the time. In that time we've only had 1 rip in the net which we fixed easily with some hay string. The horses used to rip our round bales apart, stomp the hay into the ground and pee on it, wasting probably 30-40% of the bale! But with this hay net there is almost zero wasted hay! So our bales last almost twice as long. DEFINITELY worth the money!

A Hastle
I've had the HayChix bets in the past. Didn't want to spend a ton for a new nwt after my last one was chewed through past the point of no repair. I bought this net as a cheaper replacement. First, it WILL NOT fit a 4x5 bale. I'd say max size is a 900lb bale. 4x4 bales sure and not a true 4x5 bale. But I have measured my bales and this net does not fit a true 4'x5' bale. Second, the rope sucks. I kept the keeper of my HayChix net and that seems to help, but your horses will easily undo this rope and help themselves to the newly opened hole they just made. The rope went stay tied. I find the black rope with the black net really hard to find and maneuver also (especially in the dark). In the end, you get what you pay for I guess. It works, I have less hay waste... but it's a pain.
