Sekisui 504NS Smooth Framing Tape 38mm x 50m

This stuff is great for sealing up the backs of picture frames. I use it for sealing the frame to the foamboard.

This is the 3rd purchase of this tape. If you want to keep the dust out of your framed photos or art work this is the best. Company is outside of US so it takes some time to arrive but it is worth the wait.

I have chemical allergies and using this tape caused a migraine headache, possibly formaldehyde in the glue. However, it is an excellent tape and I would give 5 stars if not for that.

Perfect for framing art using Japanese style frames with a fitted, thin wood veneer slice instead of a backing board.

So far, so good. It lives up to its description. Good tack, and covers less-than-flat frame backs well. It is not cheap, but when you finish a watercolor painting you really like, you don't want to worry about the back separating.

I have previously used a tape which you need to wet first before sticking to the picture frame. Don't know whether it was the brand of that one but recently I spent a while framing up some paintings and three days later, instead of drying nicely, it had all peeled away from the backing board. SO I TRIED THIS SEKISUI TAPE ....and it works really well. Don't have to faff about wetting it as it is self sticking. So I did all the frames again - yay! - and it is holding firmly.Will buy it again ....very pleased
