good looking and better than scissors
I'm always looking for scissors when I open mail or cardboard boxes like the ones I get from Amazon. I decided to get a letter opener but wanted one that is unique AND sturdy. This Denix Richard The Lionheart Letter Opener fit the bill for me. It nice looking and well made. It works great for opening letters. It is strong enough for handling boxes. However I sharpened one side of the blade to help out with tough boxes. Reasonable price, nice appearance and durable/strong --> I'm happy.

Exceeded expectations!
I bought this to mount in a molded/baked clay “rock” as a themed gift and was pleasantly surprised by the weight & quality! It may be too heavy for my clay rock idea & that speaks well of it. Very nice product, much nicer than expected.

I will be buying a stand for this beut
This works really well. When I opened it the sword wasn’t sharp at all but it doesn’t even need to be it seems. Opened the envelope perfectly with no tears. Perfectly clean cut!

Works perfectly!
This letter opener is an accurate reproduction. I get a lot of comments on how beautiful it looks. It feels dull but it does not take much effort in order to slice through the envelopes! Would definitely buy this again!

Looks better than it works!
This letter opener looks cool- I give it 5 stars for looks. It feels good in your hand. I'm as good as a knight of the round table when I have this puppy in my hand. It has a nice heft to it.When it comes to opening letters, it is only 3 stars. I know it is not an actual knife, but the blade is about as dull as the dull side of a butter knife. So it doesn't actually open letters all that great. But I guess anyone who buys this might not actually care about that all that much.Don't poke your eye out!

It is a letter opener, it is fun and cute. A great gift idea, but I am actually going to be using as an ornament for a fire place.

My kitty flaps are sharper
It’s a nice paper weight. Not sharp at all. Does not cut through anything. DO NOT BUY. Disappointed

Sturdy, weighty, looks great... terrible at actually opening packaging.
Needed something to open Amazon packages with (imagine that, right?) after I misplaced my conventional wood handled letter opener. Remembered getting these things in Vegas years ago so thought I'd pick one up. Turns out it's way too dull to actually open stuff and tear through tape - a housekey is more effective than this. But hey it's sturdy and looks nice.This is too cool to send back, but I'm going to have to pick up a conventional one again for practical use.
