Who says you have to get out of bed? The Selk'bag 4G Classic is perfect for people who feel restricted by traditional sleeping bags or for a cozy alternative to wrapping up in a blanket around camp. Velcro on the waist, wrists, and ankles prevents bag movement and excess bulk from impeding you from getting things done. Quick release closure on the sleeves allow you to easily free your hands so you can cook, play cards, or do other chores around camp while staying warm.

Fun!
I found this product to be a great idea, but really didn't like how durable the foot area looked. It would have been perfect if there was a drop section in the rear as well or at least a lower closure in the front so going to the bathroom in the middle of the night when it's 20 degrees wouldn't be so awful. Otherwise, this is a fun and great camping addition.

Fun and practical
I slept in the Selk Bag on a cot under the stars in the desert (about 50 degrees) and it was plenty warm. I then wore it for awhile around camp to see the sun rise, prepare breakfast, etc. The zippers worked great for quick on/off in the dark. The hand openings worked fine. The booties are big size but the velcro helps keep them snug at the ankles. I would use it instead of a sleeping bag for 3 season car camping.

Avoid this Sleeping bag.
This product sucks. I got on sale and still feel I paid too much... it's cheap and poorly designed. It's made too slim and tall for anyone but a tallish, thin enthusiast (fat and muscular folks would struggle just getting into it). Worse, and has no gussets to adjust or "give" to allow movement... even if they had a larger size, the cut is so tight I don't think it would help. It's like they just went with the damn napkin sketch and used that for the whole run.Once zipped in... the suit restricts the shoulders, is much too tight in the seat and the solution for the hands (openings below a useless "club" arrangement) seem almost dangerous... you cannot handle, grasp, or hold anything... much like a straight jacket. A mitten solution (with a proper thumb sewn in) would have been much more useful. The feet feel unsafe as the INNER material separates from the outer and slips around.Stupidly, it zips on the side of all places (not where you need it), is poorly crafted and comes with a bunch of marketing drivel that proves the designers spent all their time making graphics and did little to no testing in the real world.Suitable for getting drunk at festivals and other similar activities... cumbersome for even that, as this model gets too hot for anything but sincere 40° F cold.Good idea... executed by talentless product engineers.
