Lion King Signature Collection Target [Blu-ray]

This is a horrible remaster, and honestly while I appreciate the work they put into the CGI, it was all wasted. The lions lack all facial expressions, because I get that they're going for realism but here's a hint: realistically, lions don't show a lot of emotion in their face. Which would be fine, if this wasn't a childrens movie that did A LOT OF FACE FOCUSING. Also, just like Favreau's live action of Jungle Book, all the wonderfully created Disney songs we loved have been revamped and ruined with awkward sound engineering and flat singers who were chosen for their names it seems, more than their ability.

If you are ordering this without an Apple Account, be aware that the digital code is an itunes code. It is very disappointing when you pay extra for multi format thinking you will get a digital movie that can keep a toddler occupied on road trips, and you realize you wasted your money! Not everyone has apple products! The very least that could happen is this information be disclosed in the description!

I went to see this movie in theaters and loved it, and also grew up with the animated Lion King movie from Disney. Did some research on it when I got home and found out the entire Lion King story is completely ripped off of a story that had already been done many many decades ago from the Japanese called KIMBA. Disney completely refuses to acknowledge the 100% fact that they ripped this story off from the original Japanese version despite the story being the EXACT same. Disney is forever ruined in my eyes and I will never watch any of their movies again. I will never give them another dollar from my pocket.

I love this movie and couldn't wait to own it. Not stream it, but to own the DVD. I understand that DVDs are getting harder to buy because younger people stream movies. I'm older and have friends that don't have regular TV. They love playing their favorite moves through a DVD player. Company's need to keep the older generation in mind when it comes to ending things as popular as movies on DVDs.

We finally decided to buy the live-action version after months of our daughter watching the classic three times a day, though we weren’t prepared for the disappointment that we would experience. Though the opening sequence is a shot-for-shot remake of the original “circle of life”, and some scenes and lines were added to give more context to some of the original scenes, Disney failed to capture the magic that made it’s own original film so wonderful. The animation made every one of the characters emotionless, which is difficult to understand due to Disney’s own emotion-conveying animation of Aslan in The Chronicles Of Narnia. Despite previously voicing him in Simba’s Pride, John Oliver’s portrayal as Zazu was completely different from the original character. Scar’s cunning and lust for power were missing, replaced by a dick-ish nature. “Be Prepared” might as well have been missing entirely, only “singing” one verse and then normally saying ‘be prepared’ over and over. The second half of the movie was essentially just a booster for Beyoncé’s already obnoxiously large ego, even going so far as to give her a girl-power scene that was contextless and senseless in the form of a solo battle between Nala and Shenzi.In short, if you want to watch a wonderful Lion King movie, but the original 1994 animated classic, and if you absolutely MUST watch the new adaptation, just sign up for Disney+ so you can at least know the money was well spent on access to the insane collection provided by the service.

Really enjoyed this version. Some people moaned about the animals looking too real. But I thought it was amazing and realistic. Definately a great addition to my Disney collection

Save your money. They ruined a classic. All the visuals were great but the casting and dialogue was horrible.

Most beautiful movie I saw in my entire life. It is a celebration of love, hope and joy. The little Simba impersonates nobility and goodness. He lives in our hearts. It is up to us keep him alive.

One of the best Walt Disney films out there, It's a classic no matter what people say.

Esta película ha sido muy criticada desde que fue estrenada, tiene críticas divididas diciendo que es buena o mala, en mi opinión es una gran adaptación, de las mejores que ha hecho Disney, ver esta película en su formato 4K UHD con HDR es sin duda otro nivel, tiene excelente sonido como calidad de imagen, el servicio por parte de Amazon como siempre, ha sido excepcional.

Todos conocemos la historia y es hermosa ahora en esta versión no puede faltar en tu colección, es preciosa esta edición.

日本語で商品表示されているので知り合いの子供にプレゼントで購入したが5月6日着が5月14日着の上、問い合わせたら送付元がアメリカのフロリダ。届いた製品は日本の再生機では再生できなかったそうです。そのような注釈はどこにもなく。。。。楽しみにしていた子供たちにただただ申し訳なくお金もどぶに捨てたようなものになりました。
