Great Product - Excellent Instructions on Installation
My wife and I wanted to add an outlet to her closet, but did not want to go to the hassle of hiring an electrician, fishing wires, cutting drywall, etc. This product provided and excellent solution. In the location where the light switch had been, we were able to put this combination outlet/switch in as a replacement. Of course, for installation, one needs to know how to wire the new outlet/switch to the existing wires. Before I purchased the outlet/switch, I watched a YouTube on the proper installation. Seemed simple enough, but will the outlet/switch that I receive be the same. As it turned out, the outlet/switch was exactly what the YouTube showed, but as a bonus, the instructions that came with the outlet/switch were clear and concise, thus making the installation easy, even without the YouTube video (which I still recommend for non-engineers). Yes, I am an engineer, but only a Civil Engineer (dirt and structures). So, I do highly recommend this product. We have since installed another outlet/switch in a second closet.Marty Cohen

Works like it should! Easy replacement.
My recessed lights started flickering and I noticed that tapping the light switch gently sometimes fixed the problem. That way I could rule out other problems. Ordered this (bought 2-pack to have a spare - which is cheaper too per unit) and received promptly, turned off power - all needed was a screwdriver - replaced within 5 min - and everything went back to functioning perfectly.

Works great. Good buy.
Bought this to replace the single switch. Looks great and real easy to install. Just make sure you turn off the circuit breaker to avoid any electrical shocks during installation. The price is half of what you'd pay at Home Depot. Now, I still have the switch plus an outlet. I highly recommend it.

Attractive and easy to install
The best thing about the light switch is the simplicity of design. My husband was searching for one and saw this double pack and ordered it. We are updating our bathroom and now I will have one on each of the main walls..so much more convenient. Fast shipping, too.

The size matters
The size of the switch plate cover easily covered the electrical box and dressed the edges of the tile while providing adequate protection from electric shock.

Very easy install
I was impressed with the quality. It was Well packaged and obviously a quality product. Directions left a bit to be desired .. the wiring diagram is funny, got a laugh. Anyways I used these to replace 2 basement wall switches. The first was a breeze, all the original wires including ground and neutral were properly wired to original. Easy install. Took about 3 minutes mostly unscrewing and screwing back plate screws. The second one however sent me scurrying to my favorite handyman forums. The white wire was connecting the current through the switch L to R at the top feed screws; a red wire was cut and hanging in the box and 2 black wires bypassed everything and were pigtailed together in a cap behind the switch. O and there’s a deck screw laterally between the vertical joists holding the electrical box in place. As the instructions say you can’t connect this if the original box only has one wire, and is missing a neutral takeaway, this looked like a nonstarter. However, the switch controlled a ceiling fan and an exhaust fan, both of which worked fine, so I decided to test my hypothesis that the hot was the white wire, and the neutral was the black one and that for whatever mysterious reason that black neutral was bypassed through use of the pigtail. I won’t bore you with exhaustive steps i used to check, but that was what had been done.I then tagged the white feed with black tape and wired the new switch, and brought in the neutral (black now with white tape tag) to feed the plug part of the switch. Everything works fine. So, if you have a setup like mine, don’t despair; I have an old house and am no longer too surprised at what I find. This original switch was not wired properly, and could have been a fire hazard so I’m glad I installed the switch.

what my daughter was looking for !
It works okay and she his very please to have them, my only problem was that they say if you want to make them work separately (like switch by itself and outlet by itself ) you have to break the thin piece of metal in between well sorry I should never had had to to it cause once it was broken couldn't make them work, luckily an uncle of my daughter his an electrician and was able to fix it by bypassing a wire to reconnect where it was broken off and he told her that we shouldn't have broke it, but we did follow the instruction, he said there was a mistake in their explanation , no big deal now it works very well and she his happy!

Had a bad switch but the manufacturer gave me a refund
I picked up these switches because they look more modern than the old style flip type switch. However I regret ted my purchase. The light switch mechanism tries to maintain the on position. I've switched it off and it flipped itself back on. When it does manage to stay in the off position sometimes the light stays on. It also crackled when in the off position with the lights remaining on. The second switch at least keeps the lights off when in the off position and isn't as enthusiastic about returning to the on position, however it does turn on very easily. The slightest touch makes it flip without having to physically move it yourself. Turning it off requires pressing the switch all the way. I will most likely replace this in the near future as the quality provides me with little confidence in it's performance and longevity. The manufacturer did refund me for the defective switch and said that they would look into their quality control. Their customer service is great.

Excellent quality, Easy to install, inexpensive!
Excellent Product and well priced! Easy to install. I installed the switch/socket combo to independently control the light and use the socket to plug my google hub. In this configuration, ensure to connect the load wire onto the coloured brass screw and neutral (white) onto silver screw.

good value for money but could be better
these were half the price of Leviton and they work just fine. My only complaint is the switch clicks weirdly. Hard to describe but it is as if it like being in one position more than the other. Otherwise these are great.
