Very nice to have for a day at the range. I used them recently when instructing a group on shotgunning. being able to hear clearly (or even better then without) between shots was convenient and enhanced safety on the range.

Great hearing protection.
The Caldwell E-Max PRO is a great product. I use them while working in my shop. It's pretty sweet to be able to listen to my music and when I power up a saw or the planner, the ear muffs activate to block out the loud noises. I wish I had bought this sooner.

If you need protection for noise these are fine. No cutout for rifles, so it is a little tight but fine for all else. Your call

Pleasantly surprised.
This product is great and is just as good as the other electronic ear protection earmuffs out there (Walker,3M, Howard Leight). The fit is great as my wife has the same pair in a different color and the fit is great for her as well. It drowns out the sounds at the range, but you can hear people talking so clearly you’d think you have super-hearing abilities. I would recommend these to anyone I know before you go out and spend $100+ on the competitors.

I bought this for use when shooting at a range. I was looking for a unit with bi-directional sound, which was the main reason I selected this one. While it did provide a bit of directionality to the sound, it wasn't well defined directionality. But that's not why I gave this a low rating. There are two reasons why I gave this a low rating. One is that there is a constant hiss when the unit is on. It is very noticeable and annoying. It sounds like a fan running. This occurred at all volume levels, even when at a low volume setting. The other reason is that it's very difficult to use the volume up/down buttons while wearing this. The volume buttons are flush with the cups which makes it nearly impossible to find them with your finger. The only way I could use the volume buttons was to remove the earmuffs, but since I was at a shooting range I did not want to do that for obvious reasons. Also, when pressing to change the volume there is a lag before the new volume level is set. This causes the volume to swing wildly up or down, and difficult to make it stop at the desired level. This model is only usable when the power is off. Overall, I would not recommend this at all.

They work ok.
Sometimes I hear some static. They work great at distance. I don't like that the power button lights up.
