- Choose your hoop size measured by outside diameter OD. The larger the hoop size, the slower a hoop rotates making larger hoop sizes (34-36" OD) best for hoop dance beginners and people who have an on body hoop dance style. Smaller sizes are better for intermediate/advanced hoopers and off body tricks
