Right hammock for me.
I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this hammock, even ordered a different hammock from a different seller and different website and tossed in the trash in less then an hour of receiving it.I wanted a small, light, strong hammock that would be easy to backpack, this fits the bill. This has metal rings in each side with nylon rope leads, something else I was looking for in a hammock.Starting in the 70s with a trip to California over the summer, I've had a lot of hammocks over the years, including a very high end name-brand everyone would recognize. This is similar to the one I had back in the 70s. Easy and light to carry, the rings allow you to replace the rope if it becomes damaged or if you don't like the nylon rope (no rings on the one I tossed, leads where part of the hammock with zip ties). The rings also allow you to spread a tarp across the top to protect you from the rain instead of running a separate line above you, I use a rain poncho - tarp, saving more space in my backpack and for dual use. This does not help with bugs as there's no mash screening, but from my experience this would double the size for packing and more then triple the coast. But I carry a small hiking tent, or sometimes just a breathable bivy. The hammock for me is a must, it allows you to set up in places, such as on the side of a steep hill or in wet areas, that otherwise wouldn't work with a tent. This is large enough, I'm not so sure you couldn't setup a small one person hiking tent in the hammock if you needed bug protection (in a pinch, using lines above to hold up the tent), yet another dual purpose saving weight and space.Bottom line; there are less expensive hammocks that look similar to this one. But this is a great trade off between weight, size and price. Nylon mash means it will be easy to keep clean, strong and long lasting. Steel rings means I can replace the tie off leads when they become damaged or worn.

Great and compact for the money!
I was a little skeptical when I ordered this considering how much more expensive other hammocks were. However, I was very please when the Super Hammock arrived. I keep this in my 3-Day Pack so it's compact size is a plus. It is green but not really "olive drab," more like an apple green. The color doesn't really bother me though.I immediately tested it out and found that the hammock body is strong, comfortable, and feels really secure. I don't foresee any issues sleeping in this hammock. The attachment ropes, however, were not impressive. They're poly rope (like water skiing rope) and I've never liked that kind of rope due to how poorly it ties knots. It's difficult to get tight and stay tight. Poly rope tends to "untie" itself! I simply cuts them off and replaced with some 1" nylon webbing which functions great!Anyone looking for a low cost, lightweight, compact hammock to keep in a backpack this is a good choice.

WOW this things amazing; seriously.
Ok so I purchased this after having spent memorial day in my uncles hammock. He spent probably $17 on his and it came with wooden separators at the ends which helped keep it open. I didn't want that, because I spend 90% of my time in the woods (seriously, I practically live out there). So after having built my self reliance bag, and realizing that most of the gear was made by rothco and I was very pleased with it, I decided to jump on this hammock despite its heftier price tag than some of the others that were well rated (some as low as $6).Now, I can't say anything about the well rated $6 hammocks because I don't own one. But I can tell you now that I am VERY pleased with this hammock. I'm 6'2'' @ 170lbs and this thing has no problems holding me. I was kind of worried when I first got it because it looked pretty thin, but being made of nylon, and well braided, its tough as nails. For example, I have a Karelian Bear dog mix that weighs in at 70-75lbs, and last night while camping in the Indian Caves Nebraska State Park, he would jump up into the hammock with me repeatedly throughout the night and it had no problems with it.So could you get a quality hammock for a bit cheaper price tag? I dont know, the ratings say yes. But I'll tell you right now that I'll be purchasing 2 more for backup and company as soon as I'm done writing this review.Enjoy!

Ordered a second just to have it!
I ordered a second one of these for back up or company because I loved it so much. I will note that the second one came kind of jacked up and needed some modification. One side was slightly longer than the rest, which made it EXTREMELY hard to stay in because it kept wanting to roll me out to one side. All it took was an extra knot on the long end and BAM problem solved. This is a very high quality hammock, and I would buy a hand full more if I had the money.I live out on the road as a Nomad, spending most of my time in National Forests and this Hammock is my bed. Very comfortable.

Don't be fooled for good rating
OLIVE DRAB SUPER HAMMOCKThis hammock looks cheap, but withstood in the first test 400 pounds. It says is jumbo size, maybe for other country standard because it is small, it hardly accomodates a person 6 feet tall. My 13 years old daughter barely fit inside, and she is skinny. In conclusion, this hammock is not big and it is uncomfortable. I do not recommend it. In addition, the seller does not have a clear return police, which confirms my opinion of not buying any seller who is not fullfilled by Amazon.I'm going to insert a video soon, so you can see it for yourselves.

Smaller than you think. (in a BAD way)
Body: 5'11"/6', 250lbs. -- Hiking the AT, you need a good night's sleep, this did NOT offer that. I was almost falling out every night. Length was good but width was HORRIBLE! I had one of these before and it was great but I guess they changed their specs. Before it would wrap up about a good 9-10 inches on both sides, this one was 2 or 3, maybe. Needless to say I had to get a new hammock this year (different company of course), can't wait to try it out.
