A must read for any tennis player, or anyone with stiffness and pain!
This book is absolutely amazing! I have been playing a fairly high level of tennis 4.5 to 5.0, the 5.0 usually my opponent not me, for over 40 years. Besides tennis, highs school football and 50 years of skiing have taken a major toll on my body, particularly my back. For probably the last 35 years have played with pretty intense pain. I have had surgery to replace a huge bulging disc and several MRI"s have shown most of my discs from neck through the back are spurred, bulging, and arthritic. When I played doubles two or three times a week, I had to take several ibuprofen to just be able to walk on the court. Throughout the years I have tried many stretches and an inversion table and regular trips to chiropractors. After reading this book and doing the stretches for just two weeks I can not believe the results, truly astounding. I am almost totally pain free when I play. The stretches are still very hard to do, although they have gotten much easier, but the results are incredible. I never thought I would ever feel this way again. Read the book. follow the routines, enjoy getting your life back!!

Very helpful
I have been doing some of the stretching exercises for several months. Really helping me with a natural alignment and hopefully keeping the injury bug away. I found it useful in staying on the court and avoiding injury.

A godsend!
This book has helped me so much. As a life long tennis player, I wish this book had been printed years ago. But the great thing is, its not too late and these egoscue menus have helped reverse a lot of what I thought were chronic, unsolvable problems. I think the book is great for non tennis players as well. His credo is straighten before you strengthen and that really applies to everyone who is trying to stay as strong and active as they can be.

Fantastic book and resource
As a total fan of the Egoscue Method I was so excited to read this book. As other reviewers have noted, although it is written for the tennis athlete it really can apply to any athlete in my opinion. This book is clearly presented, with excellent explanations of the Egoscue Method principles and exercises. I highly recommend for any person wanting to improve their pain, limitations and overall fitness.

A must read! The hip exercises were especially useful for me.
Though I am a very novice tennis player I do enjoy the gym, yoga, and athletic activities. Like many folks I have pain in certain areas of my body not related to my activities, just general day to day issues. This book is written with a narrative style that makes it easy to connect with the author who explains the details of his own pain and healing journey. I definitely appreciated the accessibility of the exercises, ease of understanding how my body is impacted by imbalances, and the feeling of empowerment to heal myself.

Armchair to pro athlete pain relief
Men and women of all ages experience some level of pain in their lives. “Ageless Painless Tennis” addresses and offers solutions to the most common muscle and joint pains in tennis but can be more broadly applied to anyone desiring better physical health. Mother Nature is not always kind. At 81 I usually wake up to some ache or pain and must do some of this book's exercises to remain active.

Not about tennis
I’d like people to know that this book isn’t about how to play tennis. Not saying it isn’t a good book, only not the book I am looking for.

If you read one book on exercise
For tennis players looking to treat chronic injuries and avoid them in the future, this is an engaging, deeply insightful, and practical book. One of the best exercise books I've ever read. A must.
