Ideal for the price and what i wanted
this is pretty accurate and does what it says on the labelI use it to put in my halogen oven to test the temperature i also had it in my Meile oven and it pretty accurate i would recommend

Not too easy to read when in the oven
A good quality item. Reads in Fahrenheit and Centigrade but reading the Centigrade temperature when it is in the oven is difficult make out with these two scales together.

Was our combi oven running cool on convection? Using this thermometer it showed that the oven takes longer than expected to reach the set temperature which explains the need for longer pre-heating or longer cook time. The thermometer eventually showed 180C when the oven was set to 180C, so I presume it's accurate.

Not good for celcius
Markings are too small for celcius and not marked in "ones" so quite difficult to work out what the temperature is.

Simple and efficient.
I have bought about three far more expensive thermometers and they all had a problem of varying type.This thermometer does exactly what it should do. It is accurate, easy to read through the oven glass door.At last I can now bake without fear that my cakes will be either overdo or under done.I am extremely pleased with this purchase.
