Vintage 1170897 Soap Dispenser Wall Mount Steel

I absolutely love this soap dispenser! Fits with our vintage industrial rustic home decor and it's something you don't see very often. It's Unique!! Everything works perfectly. At first I was going back and forth on purchasing this because There are a lot of reviews that mentioned they have problems with the soap coming out but for me The soap dispenser comes out very easily. I use Mrs. Meyers soap, it has the perfect consistency to come out of the spout. I can see for other soap products that are a bit thicker could be a problem but you could just put a tiny bit of water so it would come out more easily. Problem solved!! But anyways I am planning to mount it on my tile backsplash of my bathroom wall and definitely buying another one soon for my kitchen. Two thumbs up :)

I don't have a single problem and am very happy with the design, quality and ascetic of this product. Yes I put a little water in the soap so it runs smoothly, but mine came without a flaw or mark & sits perfectly upright in holder. The glass is thick and well made, the refill hole at top big enough to use a variety of kitchen funnels to fill your liquid soap & install was a breeze. If you're looking for something, out of the ordinary in a dispenser this is it and it's not just for Victorian or old style decors. It looks great in my modern to eclectic powder room.

The negative reviews here are pretty accurate. That being said, the unit is very nice, very well made. I was determined to make it work. This is the soap from Amazon I ended up using that works well in it:La Almona - Pure Castile Liquid Soap (Unscented), 1 Gallon

So hard to find soap dispensers for smaller pedestal bath sink! This little gem checked all the boxes for design and practicality, love the way it looks and works. A little tricky to install.

It only has one job- dispense soap, and it does a lousy job. Unless the soap is the exact viscosity the soap doesn’t dispense at all and the glass soap reservoir does not rotate back into the upright position without help so eventually all the soap drips out all over the counter top.

This only works if you use the thinnest (most watery) soap available. Even still, the soap eventually builds and clumps all over the dispenser and the glass. PLUS, I have a bent paper clip in my bathroom because the nozzle get clogged and I have to clean it at least once a day.Looks pretty, though.

The screw cap on the left when facing the dispenser keeps coming off. I wrote to the company twice: No reply! I paid someone to screw this into my gorgeous back splash which is tile. If the screw cap would stay on I would be very happy with this very unique and pretty dispenser. I do not want to remove the dispenser and possibly mess up the holes in the wall and tile, thus making them unable to securely hold another dispenser. I wanted them to respond to my emails and help me to rectify the screw cap situation on the actual dipenser I have permanently screwed into my back splash!. They may have shorter screw caps with thinner washers, they may be able to sell me replacement screw caps in case it comes off and I lose it. (These caps are a unique size and no one can find them- read the other reviews!)Maybe I can glue it on with a glue they recommend? SOMETHING!!! I get NO replies.The fact no one deigns to answer my emails upsets me as much as the dispenser being sub par.I

Beautiful and unique but thicker soaps do not flow out. You must use a thin, watery soap.

Love this product, neat and simple. The only down side I have found is that we have used an expensive liquid soap and it is very thick. Therefore the flow of soap is slow. If you used an everyday liquid soap, I am sure it would flow quicker.

Sieht absolut edel aus! Ich wollte einen Seifenspender der zu unserer Einrichtungen im Landhausstil passt und bin auf diese gestoßen! Optisch absolut ein Hingucker, Qualität scheint gut zu sein. Die Seife sollte recht flüssig sein, zur Not etwas Wasser dazugeben, sonst dauert es bis die Seife rauskommt!

Hard to rate it because I couldn't open the dispenser to even try it. I understand that products are sometimes defective. What's irritating is that this unit must have been returned once already and the distributor shipped it out again. The plastic zip ties holding it in the box were cut. It looks beautiful, but might as well be a door stop.
