A hard gift to give away.
Ordered this coin for my first salute (a Marine Corps tradition) and it came quickly and well packaged. 1885 mint. The coin was sealed in a hard coin protector and looked fantastic. No one could believe that I was able to get such an awesome coin for such a reasonable price. I am not the leading coin expert but it was probably an AU-58 with some minor scratches or wear on less than 50% of the face. My only negative was that I had to give it away.

Nice Coin
The coin I received is in similar condition to the Amazon picture. I'm guessing it has been cleaned, maybe not. I think real coin collectors may get more upset about that than non-collectors (like me). My parents and grandparents had some old coins and I loved playing with them as a kid. I took the following photos to demonstrate my USB camera then realized they might be interesting to purchasers. Here is the actual coin I received. (I actually bought two and both were similar in quality).

Brilliant Coin, but what is this Mark?
Not sure if this is an issue or not, but there is a tool mark right where the Mint Mark should be. See my image attached here. Does anyone see this as suspicious?1890 dated coin that is brilliant and shiny, but I'm just worried about this tool mark or whatever it is right where the Mint Mark usually is.

Nothing like precious metal. And there is no version of it better than rare coins
A great gift. Silver alone will keep its value

I was expecting a better condition coin
This was a low grade coin, which I could understand if I was paying under $28 or so. I was expecting a better condition coin, not BU or even uncirculated, just a bit nicer coin for the money.

They really are shiny. Very much look to be uncirculated.
The quality, A++×
