Spellbinding
I have read various books in this genre including those by Rosone and Watson. This compares very favorably with those selections. I plan to continue through the series.

Great book
Most books on Kindle Unlimited are not that great. This is one of the exceptions. A good book. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

A promising start to a disappointing series.
This book is purely a setup book. It introduces the universe and the factions and characters. The problem is that there are two big time skips that you know are coming so there is no time to care about any of the characters because you know they will be gone after this book.I do like books with this type of story: a strong alien force destroys humanity except for a small group that hides and builds up to get revenge. If you are expecting an action, war focused series on a gigantic scale, then prepare to be disappointed. Battles are weakly described, ships just run straight at each other and blow up, no tactics or strategy or tricks or anything interesting. The most bizarre part is that ships are able to jump in and out of hyperspace at will but neither side uses this ability to save their ships, it lacks any sense. Further battles are described less and less until all we get is a list of how many ships were destroyed and lost, that's it.I will give another warning to those looking for a war focused book full of battles - this series is NOT THAT. Once the princesses awaken, everyone is okay with being ruled by them under a monarchy. What? If thousand year old pharaohs came alive and said we rule the USA, do you really believe anyone would be okay with that? Ridiculous! Then we get to the gag inducing princesses themselves. With a galactic war going on, they are extremely concerned with.....the furniture in their rooms. Also what clothes they decide to wear is a huge issue. Also they are boy crazy like 16 year old girls.I kid you not, these are actual scenes in future books:The princess is concerned for many chapters that war news will distract from the news of her engagement. The princess is confused as to why this giant war is not over in a few weeks. The princess complains repeatedly about how this war is awful.....because it is distracting people from finishing her palace and she wants to get started decorating her room.In conclusion, the excellent reviews of this book and others in the series are extremely suspect, I don't believe these 'reviewers' read the books.

Good book, leaves you wanting more.
There is a lot of things happening in this book. Many different groups of people and aliens to keep straight as you read through it. I had some problems keeping them straight until I got to the end of the book, then they just popped into place. It is good sci-fi and decent logic. I look forward to the next book to see how they detected to spacecraft! The reason for the four rating is more due to me then the author. This book has more planets, civilizations, different people, species, etc than I am used to. I am an "occasional" reader meaning that I may put a book down for a month or more. It just takes me awhile to remember where and when everything is! Excellent book with a good finish, I am ready for the next book in the series.

good start to a worthy space opera
I enjoyed this book more as I read on. Having a LOT of ground to cover, the introduction to the the story takes place quickly and without to many details. However as you read on, the characters are developed nicely. Enjoy!

Another author to add to my "A" list
This author was recommended by another author I love so while waiting for my other favorite authors to write their next installments, I decided to give him a read. Glad I did. The book started out, with what I felt, was slow, providing a required backdrop for the rest of the book. It was creative, edge of your seat reading for atleast the last half of the book with the human race's fate in the balance. I felt a bit more time should have been spent on developing the background of the evil adversary with a little more detail. They seemed like this ominous evil race that I could not picture clearly in my mind. The descriptive detail of their form could have a but more. I enjoyed it thoroughly and will be picking up it's successor as soon as I finish the next installments just released from another author on my "A" list. I wish Raymond success in finding his needed transplant and recovery.

Galactic space opera
A story with an interesting and engaging premise. I must admit to having been irritated early on by the use of the word illicit when the context clearly indicates it should be elicit (chapter 3 I think). Romantic interaction is rather clumsily handled and does not add much to the narrative. Also there is a fundamental assumption of heterosexuality. There is a linguistic problem that needs addressed - language changes over time but we have characters separated by a millennium able to immediately communicate.

Alternative history on humanity.
Excellent read,it would explain many giant steps in scientific development, the human empire is crushed and shattered and the ruthless commonwealth dictates mans future or rather lack of, this is the story of the resistance. This is a great read and the only stretch I can see is the hypothesis that earth leaders are capable of agreeing on anything that doesn't financially benefit there narrow world views.

Nothing different from other books
The story doesn't really bring much different from other books by the author I have read years ago. It seems like this is just rinse and repeat cheap sci fi.The plot doesn't seem to answer a lot of questions or make all that much sense either. Why banish people to a planet you want to keep secret thus letting your enemy know of its location when you could of had full freedom for a thousand years to build up in secret.I also feel the author needs to read into technology more regarding computer security the whole plot around a computer virus being used to control an AI is a bit stupid, it's not the 90s any more.

Awesome
I have read a lot of your books and all of them have been brilliant, part of the reason I was inspired to wrote my own sci-fi book, of which I am 55 pages in.The only issue I had with this book, was "Druin interdiction system" when this was introduced in the book, I feel it was said far to many times, almost every conversation after that someone mentioned it, and it just didn't feel like natural conversation, but of course this is just my opinion, and does not take away from the fact that when I finished it, I was disappointed to realise it was only written very recently, so there is no follow up as of yet 😂Hope all goes well with the surgery and follow up treatment, I will certainly be buying the next one when you release it 👍

The Empire Lost it’s freedom
Its another great book from the writer, it’s a good storyline that that I’m hoping will continue its interesting storyline.Empire of the humans have been defeated and the royals have been banished to a barbaric world, some hidden and preparing to regain there lost Empire. That is bombarded all the time just to show there place. This book takes you on a journey that spands more then 1000 years.
