Interesting, sensible and tasty food!
Very interesting and well written book. The ‘science’ makes far more sense to me than the information and ‘advice’ I’ve read in leaflets given by hospital dieticians. We have been trying this new regime for about a month. I can’t honestly say whether there has been a substantial improvement yet as it’s still ‘early days’ but can say that we have not had any adverse reactions either! The recipes are really tasty and we are definitely enjoying the food. I would definitely recommend this book.

Learn about how nutrition affects your body.
Wow. I have been going to nutritionists for years but always got confused but this author explains everything so well. First 50 pages explaining how to best use food in a healing way to regain balance in your body and then recipes up to page 196. You will gain knowledge about everything you put in your mouth and how much risk we potentially put ourselves at but not treating food as fuel. I am a fussy eater but every recipe looks delicious to me. The book was expensive but in this case, will save me pounds spent going to see a nutritionist. If you have any autoimmune disease, need to lose weight or need to reduce leaky gut ( I have 2 boys on the autistic spectrum who suffered from leaky gut, we took them off gluten and dairy years ago which improved symptoms by 50 %) then this book is a great guide and leading you how to reduce symptoms and get pain free. I suffer from insulin resistance and have already all the recipes are going to be beneficial as no carbs and and no sugar though i can replace honey with xylitol in pud recipes. I trust you find this book as helpful for you, remember, its aimed at auto immune diseases but any other conditions will also be helped by using ckean food as a clean fuel. You would put dirty fuel in your car as it would break down. Why put dirty fuel in your body? Why aren't we taught about nutrition at school? Teach your self now.

Something for everyone
This is an excellent book - clearly explains why we should all eat more healthily. I have read a lot of similar books, but for me this one has it all: a clearly laid out structure and explanation plus an engaging personal story linking the 'why' to the lifestyle and recipes. And these are good recipes - very much enjoying working my way through them. I'm a great proponent that positive changes come, over time, if you make it easy and engaging for people. That is what this book does. Everyone who is trying to positively engage with their health will find something in this book, either from the story, the explanations , the recipes, or in my case from all three.

Read the whole story more than once and make notes
Such an interesting read. Louise should be congratulated on her perseverance and hard work. I hope to be able to feel better in the months to come.

THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE !!! and my Alopecia
I saw Louise for a consultation around 5 weeks ago because I have an auto immune disease called Alopecia Areata. Id pretty much been written off by my Doctors. They could always prescribe lots of ways to try and reduce the inflammation causing my Alopecia but they could never tell me why i was inflamed in the first place.The book explained that Gluten was causing a leaky gut which allows food particles to get into my blood stream, this in turn caused my immune system to see these particles as foreign and attack, eventually the anti bodies begin to attack the healthy cells, which in me was my hair.It sounded great so i thought id give it a try....after so long of nothing working i was skeptical.However I have now noticed that my hair has completely stopped falling out after only 5 weeks of the diet, so im so excited to see what else happens.The major thing id want to share however is how this diet has made me FEEL. I literally feel incredible, the kind of feeling that is so good you convince yourself that it has to come with a cost. When i started to feel amazing, i instantly assumed this wasn't going to last, but it absolutely has, i'm far more energetic, i NEVER stress, i sleep amazing at night.I had no idea just how much my diet was affecting my mindset, I'm so much positive and happy these days, my family has even made comments, but more than that its has lasted, i cant believe i can feel this way as long as i just eat right.But don't worry, there's plenty of sweet treat in the recipe for those who have a sweet tooth.I honestly cant recommend this book enough !!!

Highly Recommended
Brilliant book! It is inspiring to read about the journey Louise and her husband, Richard, embarked on in order to turn his health around. The recipes are quick, easy, delicious and healthy. There are loads of clearly explained useful hints and tips on nutrition and lifestyle. I have consulted Louise personally and with her help I managed to lose 2st and greatly improve my menopause symptoms. I can not recommend this book highly enough.

Much more than a recipe book !!
It is really inspiring to read about Louise and Richards personal journey which lead to the restoration of Richards health. They present useful information and simple explanation to explain the healing possibilities of dietary changes in a wide range of autoimmune conditions.I have personally experienced a complete resolution of colitis symptoms and have changed the way i eat for good. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. There is no sense of lack, just a wide range of colourful, healthy foods to choose from.I very much recommend their book to you....S.Evans (Dr)

Not just for the Gluten & Dairy Free!
Me and my husband don't have any special dietary needs that require us to follow a gluten & dairy free diet but we do have an active and healthy life style. On looking at the book on line we thought we'd give it a try and have not been disappointed. The book has a wide range or recipes for throughout the day that are easy to make and don't require lots of specialist ingredients, a plus for any kitchen! G&P Drummond.
