A great 100% wool hat. Plenty big for those of us with large melons for heads. It's thick and cozy.

Fits great, keeps head warm and dry, can get itchy when it starts wicking excessive sweat.

This is a warm hat. True to size. The color and material were perfect. It's nice and heavy

This cap is comfortable and well-made, but it is simply not as heavy and warm as the watch caps I recall from my days in the Navy. It's perfectly adequate, and I like it. I was hoping for something that did the job of stopping the wind completely...as the old version did.

I love this cap. Very warm and understated in terms of style. Did I also mention the value?I did find the cap a little itchy. I read up on why this is and how to alleviate it and that took care of the problem.Obviously wool can be itchy, so the fibers need to be softened. I also found that some wool can be treated with an agent in processing which can cause the itch. Not sure which was the issue here, but the solution to resolve works for each potential causes.I used Outback Gold Wool Wash to launder the cap (adds lanolin which softens the fibers). Just follow the instructions regarding water to solution ratio and find a reputable website on laundering wool caps. I hand washed, soaked for 30 mins, lightly squeezed and rinsed (squeeze don't wring!). Also rolled in a towel and pressed out excess water. Air dried for 24 hours.I've done this twice since I purchased this cap and it's gotten softer over time. Also, snaps back after the wash.

It seems to be genuine wool. It is scratchier than my acrylic beanies. I have owned genuine surplus beanies before. Wore them out. This fits much slouchier than them even when cuffed. I liked the traditional low profile fit of my old surplus beanies. This fits too long on top of my fairly average head. It is not as shown on the mannequin head with the low pro traditional fit. It’s cheap and it’s wool so I’ll keep it.

I love this watchcap! My home office runs cold on the winter and it's hard to stay warm. But this watchcap is toasty and I am comfy warm even without the heat on. I do feel just the slightest bit of itchiness where the cap touches bare skin, but it's scarcely noticeable. I plan to wash it with Outback Gold like a previous reviewer suggests. It's wool, so wash and dry like other woolens. What a great cap for the price! I'm going to buy another!

Soft wool, feels good on the head. There's enough length pull it down to fully cover my ears and neck, or if I don't need it, add another fold to keep it snugged down. We had a few days of -15° temps last week and this kept my head warm when out walking the dog.Very pleased.

Hat fits firmly in place and does not slide up when I move! Feels cozy warm too. Maybe a tad itchy but forgettable it fits so well.
