The Art of Magic: The Gathering - War of the Spark

Amazing art and very enjoyable read!

Explaining all the events that led to the War of the Spark conclusion is way too extensive to write them down, but this book is, for sure, a great purchase if you are into MTG and its storyline. The artwork is flawless, the paper quality is A+ and the whole book is hardcover. Plus, and be aware of this, this book is huge. As in wide and tall. It did not find my bookshelves. Highly recommended!

I've always loved these art books and while I'm sad this is the last one, at least it ended with a bang. I like the recap of all of the events in the Bolas arc. It really filled in the gaps for the last section of the plot, since we didn't get much detail in Weisman's novel. This is definitely worth picking up if you're a Vorthos!

This art book does a wonderful job showing you the last few years of Magic’s art and story.

This is a beautiful book, I just wish that they had more on Liliana Vess.

Big fan of war of the spark and the art of magic the gathering. Very god book! The art look great and I love the story. However, it didn't go into as much detail as I would like. Would still recommend to those who like the art and the story

The book is fantastic as are the others in the series. It's sad to see the series end. The only unfortunate thing about this purchase was the dust jacket was damaged in packaging.

I order this book along with a smaller art book, and then I placed a separate order for a bigger, more expensive book. Amazon saw fit to combine both orders into a single shipment, which usually I wouldn't have minded. But the first thing I noticed was that the box had been thrown around like a cat toy. And when I opened the box, well, it showed. Both this book and the bigger volume were damaged around the edges, hard covers flattened and bruised. There was no interior protection (paper, air bags, not even newspaper) so both books took the brunt of the "handling" and shipping. Again the book themselves are great, but this is to remind anyone ordering from Amazon that a trillion dollar company won't spare 75 cents of kraft paper to keep a $100+ orders safe.

Il volume 8 è decisamente il più carente, mi aspettavo di più.A partire dal comparto grafico, il 75% dei lavori grafici sono ripescaggi dal passato con soltanto il 25% di lavori nuovi.Ma ciò che mi aspettavo di più era nel comparto lore, decisamente povero e dalla conclusione troppo frettolosa. Facendo parte di una collana l'uso di così tanti recap li trovo davvero inutili e riempitivi, lo spazio dei recap lo si sarebbe potuto usare per arricchire la parte finale dell'art book; direi che è giunto il tempo di chiudere questa collana di art book.
