Disappointing series with stretchy story
Not happy with the book. Highly disappointed with the storyline and overstretched unnecessary details at several places. And, not enough required information and satisfying response for several sub-plots presented in the book. Not worth reading it.

Surprisingly good read
Surprisingly good read. I didn’t have high hopes but was quickly immersed in the story. Looking forward to the next in the series. If you like Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson, then give this a try.

Definitely a good read if you are a thriller lover.
The Plot:Arjun and Maya are young adults and their parents are good friends, and so does they. They enjoyed studying in the school, where the comparatively boring topic of history was made very interesting by their history teacher Mr. Trivedi. The things, however, are meant to be changed and in on unfortunate incident Mr. Trivedi was murdered within his home! And it turned their world upside down.Incidentally, Mrs. Pramila Singh (Arjun’s mother), Mr. Virendra Singh (Arjun’s uncle) and Mr. Naresh Upadhyay (Maya’s father) are all good friends and they shared same relationship with Late Dhanajay Trivedi also! Unfortunately, before years, Maya has lost her mother and Arjun has lost his father! Since then the group was living in a way that they can took care of each other. The story then moves from Delhi to Panna National Park, the Pandava Falls, the mysterious world of Gandharvas, the Gurukul ran by Sangha,… Well, it will be more interesting if you read it yourself rather we talk about it here .Views and Reviews:The prologue doesn't fit in the story anywhere, but it may have a relevance to the story that will be explored in the other books in this series. The book proves to be a good overall. Since you start exploring the tale of Arjun and Maya. The mythology is weaved pretty nicely in a fictional tale. There are various incidents and sequences in the book, which will remind you of Harry Potter stories. For any book, to become an interesting read, the story and the characters are the deciding factors. We found that both these attributes are quite strong here. The way the characters are build is really nice. Be it the friendship between Arjun and Maya or even their parents, it is explored in convincing manner. Rather than talking about feminism and women empowerment, the author infused the characteristics in the characters. And it works effectively. There is no adult material in the book and it is the saving grace, as we see that even the popular authors tend to add steamy scenes in the books these days.Though, it is a fantasy fiction, the author tries to make the things look logical. Here are some of the interesting pieces of writing from the book:=======It is better to serve humanity and fulfill our destinies by remaining unobserved and unknown.-- --Don’t forget, predictions are accurate only at the time that they are made. Even they can change over time, depending on the actions of the people involved. That is the law of Karma.=======We've bought the Kindle EBook for Rs. 69; and thus it is value for money for us. We will recommend you to look for a good book deal to purchase it :)Rating:Around 7.5 stars out of 10

The book is mainly targeted for younger audience just like harry potter was in my teens
This book is different from the author's earlier works. Here the protagonists are teenagers and their ability to explore their innerself and to fight against age old or to be more preciese yuga old fearsome demons all on their own to fullfill the prophesis whereas the grown ups can only guide them or play a second fiddle in this gruesome war. Its a fantasy story and while reading we kinda feel a sense of deja vu. The book is mainly targeted for younger audience just like harry potter was in my teens :). Nevertheless it was quite an interesting read knowing some interesting facts , not sure i am eager to read the second installment or not unlike the mahabarata quest series which is my all time favorite. Going by four stars just because Chris has pulled down and handled such an ambitious project well. Bollywood get your contract ready well in advance. :)

An Indian Harry portter...!!
Good story to start with. Use of our Mantras creating magic explained by science is fine. But, it looks like the Indian version of Harry potter who fought with Devil with the help of his friends. Same here just the name change.Former books were more scientific and interesting specially the relation with Mahabharata, Alexander, and present time.Let's see what comes in next books...!!

A good read
The story starts off with a bang, but as you read further, you'll invariably find similarities with Harry potter, and also Percy Jackson. Nevertheless, you've gotta give the author some credit for the research he's done before writing this. I'd say it would have been a perfect read, if the author had put in just a little more effort to avoid some obvious similarities with other popular fiction. I still appreciate the book all the same. For one thing, after reading the book, i definitely understand the importance of mantras, and I make a little more effort to chant them more sincerely everyday. Overall, a good read. Go for it if you have a thing for fantasy. Or mythology. Or both.
