I have used these placemats for 3 months, maybe once a week. I was very surprised to see how quickly the design is washing off. I wash them by hand using Dawn and dry with soft towels. I don't feel like we're rougher with these than other brands. My kids love the designs. I like the thickness and nonskid backing. However for the price, I truly expected the design to last as long as the plastic itself.

EDIT: they come with a plastic protector on the back, it's not the actual mat falling apart!! It's the packaging. 🤣🤣 They hold up very well. I recommend them to anyone.The colors are great, they are a good size, and my children like looking at them while eating. However, I've quickly discovered (the second time using them) they are not water proof. Specifically the edges are not sealed, water can/will seep into the back of the mat. Once wetness has touched the edge it will separate the protective plastic from the back of the mat. It seems like the whole thing will fall apart pretty quickly.

This set of 4 children's placemats are exceptional. The pictures are fun and vivid, and they hold up! My son is not gentle on anything, and these do the job. They are a great size, so you can have a plate, bowl, cup and spoon on it with plenty of space for hands/arms. The back has a light rubber texture so the mat doesn't slide around. Hand washing it is easy, with all food coming off with just running under water. They dry well and stay upright. I would recommend these if you're looking for a quality set of placemats that will last!

The colorful designs on the placemats were fun for my 2.5 year old boy to look at, but the drawbacks of the placemats were so great that I stopped using them altogether. First, the placemats are so slick that plastic plates slide around while you are trying to eat. Don’t most toddlers use plastic plates?? Second, the placemats do not stay put on wood table tops. This seemed to encourage my little guy to pick up the placemats and hold them over his head during mealtimes. Overall, the placemats were such a distraction that I gave up on them.

The non-slip dots on the back came off of one mat after a few weeks. The other mats are starting to lose them now as well (after 4 months) but I was really disappointed on the one mat losing all of its anti-slip grips. The paint is coming off on small spots on all mats. I always hand wash them. My kids love them. Love talking about the animals. I wouldn’t purchase again though. Need something sturdier.

We have had the placemats for 10 days, and all 4 are already damaged. Parts of the graphics are scratching off, and you can see through the mat. Mats have only been hand washed, so it’s not from the dishwasher

Grandson loves these placemats and the different educational variety of vehicles, construction etc. on them. His parents very happy they stay in place and please NOTE: there is a clear sheet on the back that must be removed in order for them to keep from sliding.

We love these placemats! I bought these for my 3 year old who is obsessed with anything that moves. He loves them and talks about the different vehicles. He will even take the placemat with him when he gets up from the table!The placemats are flexible without being too thin. Colors are great and the text is very easy to read. They stick to the table well and clean up is easy. We will be ordering more placemats from merka.

Our kids love these, they are a good size and lovely quality. Having different pictures helps to keep the little ones at the table in their own space. The non slip backing seems to stop them slipping around. The mats are a little thinner than I hoped but they look pretty durable. Time will tell. As a busy foster family we do tend to get through a lot of mats - the supermarket board-based ones are a waste of money as they don't wash and usually peel within a few uses.

Belle, coloratissime, non scivolano grazie alla parte sottostante che rimane ben ferma sulla tovaglia di stoffa che rimane pulita. Le tovagliette sono lavabili, utili e insegnano ai bambini i nomi degli animali, che sono divisi i 4 categorie: selvaggi, domestici, marini e della fattoria. Peccato che i nomi siano in inglese (per carità, va bene lo stesso) e che non ci sia la versione in italiano. Consiglio a chi ha bambini. Io le ho comperate per i miei nipoti piccolini, dato che da poco mangiano a tavola con noi.
