Got this for my rode mic on my cannon. Definitely helps muffle the extra sounds especially when your outside. I use to have to go through every scene and edit out the extra noise. Now I barely have to do that.Works the best with indoor echos. Def worth the purchase.

Worked well, fit our AT directional mics like a glove, and cut down on wind noise.

I threw the foam cover away as it was thinner than the one that came with my Deity Smic2S . I fluffed up the deadcat and slid it right over my stock foam windscreen.Performance was good in all but the strongest winds. We took it out on an awfully windy day and performance was ok. I didn't expect it to work as well as a blimp, so my expectations were in-line with what this is, a cheap deadcat.Attenuation of the high end was within my tolerance, after all, anything over the mic will deaden certain frequencies. However, it wasn't overbearing and easily overcome in post. If you are looking for an affordable deadcat for short shotgun mics, this one works well for the money.

This combo filter sounded great on a recent podcast I recorded. It took away all the plurs and sibliance.
