Timex Mens Analogue Classic Quartz Watch with Leather Strap

The Collective Review -Let me begin by saying that I am an avid fan, follower, hard critiquer and above all those, lover of Timex Watches. I write this only to inform, help and share the excitement of the passion we all WIS find from those unique pieces of horology that fill many acknowledged voids and many times those that we are not even conscientiously aware of.A bit of background history in order to set up the needed perspective and contrast. In my collection, I have a few regular Scouts which are brass cases with very ‘cheap’ straps; there has been many very good color combinations of dials that when paired with the right strap; makes for a very good looking watch. A couple of years ago, Timex introduced the Archive collection and came up with a few ‘Allied’ models, to which I also own a few; however, they are nothing but a glorified Scout (same brass case) with a bit different dial markers and different hands to make them distinct from the Scouts. A few months later, they introduced the Mk1 Collection.The Mk1 Collection is nothing like the Scout or Allieds. This is a serious watch, totally different case materials, a beautiful dome crystal, excellent quality on straps and relatively speaking decent lume. I have to add, that before acquiring my first (out of four now) Mk1, I was a bit skeptical, as I did not want another glorified Scout. In case you have to wonder, there is a reason why I have four in the collection.The specs of the watch are just perfect, 40mm case, 20mm lugs, 9mm tall, lumed hands and markers; and for those that hate the loud ticking from Scouts and Expeditions; these are actually quieter.The aluminum variants are super light yet very rugged and with an acrylic crystal, so those scratches can easily be buffed out. Timex has done multiple color variations, from matte black, stainless steel, gunmetal gray and even a matte blue.At the time of this writing, these Mk1s have already been discontinued from TIMEX website because there is a new generation of the Mk1; but many of these are available on gray market at an excellent price.The quality, finishing and obvious military heritage that these pieces bring to the table, will make them a good staple in any collection. For sure, they are keepers on mine and will be cherished for years to come.Update: Steel versus Aluminum? The difference is minimal with one major exception at least on the pearl white SS one. The hands are not lumed. Not a show stopper for me thanks to Indiglo; but all the Aluminum models have lumed hands. The difference in weight is only .04 oz with the aluminum being lighter. Both feel the same on the wrist.

I LOVE this watch! Let me tell you why. I like how the face is domed, which reminds me of a vintage watch, and the light cream color of the face just adds to it. When exposed to sunlight or bright light, the arrows on the face of the watch become illuminated. As you can see from the photos the indiglo is very vibrant.I liked the quick release leather watch band that it came with, but switched it out for another watch band that I had that suits me better personally. This is an EXCELLENT watch for 30 dollars!!!!!!! (There was a 5 dollar coupon when I purchased it) Like others have stated, easy to read and great face! This cream colored face goes with virtually any colored leather strap you choose! Description says 18mm band width. I measured 20mm myself. Case is 39mm and wears well! Most satisfying 30 bucks I have spent in a long time!!! Domed crystal is also adds a very nice touch!

i love this watch. hate the band. switched it out for a Ritchie that coincidentally had a turquoise on it that matched some of the symbols color on the watch face perfectly. when i dont want a lot of bells and whistles and just need a dependable analog that looks good this is what i grab. very easy to read and my god the lume. so good. this is the only kind of watch i like the bubble effect on the glass. its old school meets new school. and no ticking sounds on this timex!!!!! or im going deaf. could be either or.

I found this watch large enough to read comfortably. I especially love the night light on the dial. If there was anything more I would desire from it would be that it would show the date. Great value and it's a TIMEX!

When I was a kid my family was rather poor. A Timex was always a wish, and I worked after school in my Dad's garage but the money went to feed us. So to buy one now that was cutting edge when I was 14 is a fun experience.

The watch is nice looking. The face strikes me as a rather 'retro' look, which I like. The leather band seems to be of good quality. In the 2 1/2 weeks that I've had it, the time is within 3 seconds of correct (when compared to my computer which, like almost all computers, gets it's time from an atomic time source).

I like the design but the quality is disappointing. The little string accents on the band came loose almost immediately. Fixed with a toothpick and some glue. I also think the bulge of the glass face is off-putting and it ticks so loudly that if my hands are anywhere near my face it's distracting.

As cores do mostrador casam perfeitamente são lindas, junte isso com a pulseira de couro marrom pronto ficou perfeito. e tem tbm o vidro abobadado que é lindo também. Apenas uma ressalva se vc estiver num ambiente bem silêncioso vc ouve os ponteiros dos segundos .E a pulseira poderia ser um pouco mais grossa fora isso vale muito a pena gostei muito do relógio

Muy buen reloj , apenas me lo puse quedé encantado , tardo muy poco en llegar , en una caja en muy buen estado y muy bonita para el precio del reloj , los materiales son de muy buena calidad , acero inoxidable no de latón como muchos relojes militares de timex , correa de piel una estética perfecta , muy bien reloj para algo informal y usar con jeans , para diario , no se arrepentirán

レザーベルトの色とアイボリーの文字盤、水色のインデックスの組み合わせがクラシカルでとてもいいです。ただTIMEXにありがちな秒針のズレ、カチカチ音は聞こえます。しかしルックスが最高なので、気になりません。つけていて楽しい時計ですね。
