Where we live the wind and sun is brutal, this shell lasted the whole season thank goodness. The key is to sand bag it all the way around and we made sure to stabilize the frame. For the price it is a great deal.

The cover is sturdy enough for this frame. The greenhouse was heating up very quickly while working inside. I worry with no top vents it will become to hot in the summer. The stakes will not hold this down if the wind gets into it. I used large stones from the yard at the base of the cover and over the anchor stakes with cord to hold the frame. T

Efficient replacement cover
Metal frame green house of moderate size 7 x10 x 6. Covers usually last 2 seasons, and then get wear/friction holes on ridge and at corners. That being said they do very well as plant protector in our Central Texas weather. Occasionally down to single numbers for a night or 2.Use a 100 watt incandescent bulb, and on very windy nights add an old sheet.Good value for price

Excellent cover!
This cover has stood up like a champ through some pretty brutal storms! I love the big windows which allow great air circulation on hotter days. It fits better than the original cover which came with the frame! We recommend that you use some anchors if you live in a flat landscape where wind can pick up quickly. Our anchors are twine & lawn staples...easy & cheap.I would definitely purchase this again! My first choice!

This cover was repurposed to winterize an aluminum frame 8X6 polycarbonate double-wall greenhouse as gust and snow first line of defense in eliminating polycarbonate panel blow-out. It also reduces the heat loss from the aluminum frame and distributes the weight of snow more evenly. Zippers are fully functional, and the cover is well sewn.Update: 2/15/23 The hole from the OGrow 6X8 greenhouse doorbrace and anchor ropes continue to hold the cover in place. Reno winds have blown in 3 panels, and this cover keeps the wind from kiting panels away and breaking down the corners as it helps maintain about 10 degrees warmer temps than outside. I bought a second cover for when I rebuild the Palram 6X8 in a better protected space, repair and replace the wind damaged parts, and replace wind-stolen panels.

Lasts about 2 years
This is the 2nd replacement cover I have purchased l. I have had the same frame 6-7 years and replaced only the cover. I live in N. Central TX. 1/2 my green house is in full sun and that part eventually just disintegrates. The cover lasts about 2 years.

The windows sort of make it useless for winters as the velcro does not go all the way around. I also wish there was a door on the other side to open up and let the wind through. I added velcro and take around the windows, but when the wind comes it captures the wind much like a sail and if the poles are not secure in the ground with strong steaks your greenhouse will go flying. Also when the wind gets caught up in there, the plastic could rip from the velcro hooks used to keep the plastic to the poles. This did help keep the frost off my plants, and as my plants are tropical for more shaded environments this worked well. I did buy some extra plastic from my local hardware store and added a second layer to help for the cold. With the second layer and a simple oil heater, I was able to keep my greenhouse a good 20 to 30 degrees above the outside temperatures even against the snow. Our lowest temperatures reached around 10 to 15 degreed F, and the inside temperatures with two layers with buried sides and a cheap oil heater, my greenhouse did not go below 40 degrees at night.Do make sure you open the flaps, even with snow, during the days as the temperatures can about 120 F. With just one layer, it will help keep frost off your plants, but it is not the best for protecting the plants from low temperatures. I removed my second layer and we had an extra bout of surprise snow hit us. I used my little oil heater at max with just the one layer, yet it only kept the temperature about10-15 degrees higher than the outside temperatures.
