Best docking station for PixelBook/Chromebook/ChromeOS
This is the perfect dock for anyone using a PixelBook or other ChromeOS/Chromebook laptop. It's like they built it with Chromebooks specifically in mind.* Driverless setup/connectivity. Manual driver installations for peripherals isn't really a thing on Chromebooks so you need a docking station that is driverless like this one is.* USB 3.1 Gen2 host connection with 60W power delivery. This is perhaps the most important technical detail. The PixelBook and other Chromebooks have USB-C ports but they are not Thunderbolt 3 capable. So you need a docking station with the fastest USB-C standard but not a docking station built on the Thunderbolt 3 standard. The SD4820P has a USB 3.1 Gen2 (vs Gen1) host port with plenty of bandwidth to plug in all your dual monitors and lots of peripherals without overwhelming the connection. Support for USB-C power delivery means that your laptop connects to all your peripherals and charges from just one cable.* Dual DisplayPort out. I use two 1440p monitors and this docking station drives both flawlessly while maintaining full port speed for all peripherals (2-lane mode). If you have 4k monitors, you'll have to switch to 4-lane mode which drops Ethernet and USB port speeds a bit, but 4k computer monitors aren't the norm just yet.* USB 3.1 ports galore! Four USB-A 3.1 Gen1 ports (back), one USB-A Gen2 port (front), and one USB-C Gen2 port (front). All the speed you could want and extra power delivery on the front ports. At my desk I have a keyboard, mouse, webcam, video conference headset, external hard drive, and phone charging cable all connected and running without issue.Reputable manufacturer and a 3-year warranty. Super happy with this docking station!!

Exactly what I needed.
At my office, I have 2 monitors connected to my work laptop. When I began teleworking after COVID-19, it was a rude awakening as I tried to work off just my laptop screen. This docking station solved that problem. I run 2x 27” LG monitors on it via Display Port cables. This is a true “plug & play” device; I was afraid I’d have issues with compatibility due to my work laptop’s additional firewalls, but no trouble at all. The USB C connectivity option is also extremely convenient, as it also charges the laptop while in use. No need for a separate charger. It’s so convenient that I often swap out my work & personal laptops depending on whatever I’m working on. Bottom line: my productivity has increased threefold!

Excellent alternative to the Dell OEM dock
Couldn't bring myself to pay the $75 upcharge that dell asks demands for their charging dock, so I purchased this one for a Dell Lattitude 5420. After two months of daily usage, everything is perfect. Plenty of available ports, the unit is running dual monitors at 1920 without an issue, and the single interface/charging across USB 3.0 is a Godsend. I Will be purchasing these moving forward as I roll additional machines out

Great USB-C home dock for the working professional
Great home dock from day one!Power button placement is a bit wonky, took a minute to find. Other then that, this unit is awesome for someone that needs a multi monitor supporting USB-C dock for home.

Finally found the one that works with my pixelbook!
After trying many different usb-c dock, finally I've found the one that works with my pixelbook with dell monitor. It also works perfectly with logitech receiver without dragging. If I use the receiver with others, there's been always a dragging. Expensive but I think it's worth it.

Does not power your laptop when Monitors are connected
The purpose of the dock is to connect multiple (or even single) external monitors to your computer and leave the computer lid closed and tucked away from sight. So your desk should be ideally just monitor(s), keyboard and mouse. Thats it. When you leave workplace, you should be able to just take away the laptop alone. This Dock fails to achieve it. It doesn't power my latest Lenovo C965 Yoga laptop via USB-C when a monitor is connected! You have to power laptop separately adding to lot of wire clutter. Plus you can't have two places to charge laptop. You will have to carry the charger everywhere. Returning, not worth it.

Worked well for the computers it supports
There are 7 computers in our family. This docking station supports 5 of the 7 and, for those, it works really well! The setup was easy to follow and worked as expected. The 2 computers that were not supported failed to work because the computers do not support connection with via USB-C. I was able to find a different docking station that supported the two problem computers.Did not support:- HP EliteBook Folio 1040 Notebook PC- HP Pavilion x360 Convertible

Kensington SD4820P USB-C Docking Station - Problems using it withI M/S Surface Pro 7
I purchased this SD4820P 4K dock station to use with a Surface Pro 7 running WIN 10 PRO (64 bit). When docked, the attached devices as well as the Ethernet connection acts very sporadically. I updated all drivers and firmware on my Surface Pro, and called Tech Support who suggested the dock is only capable of 60Watts, which is what he said the Surface draws, so I plugged in an external power supply using the standard Surface Pro power cable (magnetic connector), and kept the USB-C connected to the dock. Unfortunately the dock continued to drop the Ethernet Connection. At this point I decided the product needed to be returned for a full refund from Amazon. go back to using the original M/S Dock - the chunky - clunky brick that has the proprietary display port connectors until someone comes out with a more elegant Dock that works on a the Pro 7.

Poorly Powered
It's an okay dock, requires a lot of messing around to get it to work a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7.Doesn't seem to power the laptop if a monitor is plugged in or more than one peripheral. Returning it.

Arrived previously opened and did not work
Product arrived pre-opened and did not work.I've given two stars because delivery and refund were prompt.I was optimistic about the product, and frustrated that I didn't get a chance to use it. I bought a Microsoft dock instead. More expensive but trouble-free.
