I ordered this pergola, and received it in a timely fashion. This is a large item, and it will take time to assemble, but it's not difficult. For the most part, one person can do the job, but it helps to have someone help by holding posts when placing the cross pieces on for the roof.I had several things I really appreciated about this package:+ After identifying the parts, these labels came off easily. That is not usually the case+ All of the parts were present, and they included extras of each of the bolts+. All of the holes lined up, and the threaded sections were well cut, making it easy to get the bolts started.+ The parts are sturdy+ The top canopy has grommets and it attaches with bolts through them into the main cross beams. This prevents flopping in the wind+ The ends are tucked under and secured with velcro. However, the actual tension is secured with the bolts on each end relieving the pressure on the velcro.As you can see from the photo, this unit fits nicely in the space where it was intended, and frames the scene nicely. We lover the look it provides, and it fits our needs.I am adding fairy lights around the perimeter, and a lightweight hanging lamp in the center. Both will be solar powered.If you are looking for some shade at a reasonable price, this may be the perfect deal for you.

I was quite frightened by what to expect given the affordability of this Pergola, but have been surprised and blow people away when I tell them the cost. I mean, it's not the best quality possible, but I'm kinda picky, and really this is good quality. It definitely isn't flimsy or thin or anything.Now with that said, it *was* missing one ring that was needed - which I substituted a zip tie and it works fine. I"m too lazy to reach out to the manufacturer... but that's lame when everything isn't in the package.Secondly, the instructions are a little rough -- and worse, the bolt labeling is just plain wrong. Wasn't too hard to figure out, but like a lot of these affordable things, something went wrong somewhere, and you're left figuring out which bolts go in which holes. Not really a problem, but I don't like the fear I get when I think a bunch are missing or won't fit, or I got ripped off. It would be so easy to print new instructions... but well, again for the price I am still happy.Upper fabric is plastic coated, and feels pretty heavy duty, while looking quite nice. It will drip through in the rain -- but holds out light sprinkles.Relatively strong Magnets keep the shades closed or open as you wish -- which I didn't even expect, but its an important feature when comparison shopping.

We had a hard time finding something to fit our deck area. This was the answer! Fits our space perfectly. My husband was impressed at the ease of reading the instructions and assembly in general. All in all a couple of hours by himself (I assisted once just to hold up a corner). Once complete though, I was very disappointed in how flimsy the fabric is over the top. The picture online makes it appear to be a canvas panel. NOT! Hardly any shade provided and then it rained. The fabric drips and holds water too. Granted, I live in Florida and it's like the surface of the sun right now but I am going to have to come up with something to cover this a little better. You don't want to completely stop the air flow but I think we can come up with something better than this material. Overall it's really quite attractive and I love the shelf and fancy metal corner brackets to hang plants on. Lights are next! Definitely worth the purchase.

Good value, lasted almost two years. Too much rust after a year.

We bought this pergola last year and it wintered well. I was worried the cover wouldn’t stand up to the weather over the winter, but it’s fine. My hubby and myself assembled it and it took awhile, having a third person would’ve been helpful. The quality for the price is amazing. We added a roller sunshade on one end. It’s heavy and I feel it will be durable. Everyone who comes over comments on how good it looks. It creates a cozy sitting area.

The instructions said 60 -90 minutes to setup this pergola. That is if you have three or four people and you've setup a few of them before. It took me about four hours. The screws are constantly falling out on their own now after it being up a month. I have to remind myself to get out the ladder and tighten them manually. Would I buy it again? Probably would opt for something a little nice, but this one does look nice on our patio. It definitely shakes in the wind even with it securely attached to the ground.
